★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Moi et mon conjoint avons acheté une Hyundai Accent 2009, dites inspectée. On nous a dit que les freins était à 70% et la courroie d'alternateur était dû, c'est tout.
Au bout d'une semaine, la hose de cremaillere brise. Ils l'ont réparé, mais ca a prit 1 semaine d'attente.
Environ 3 semaines plus tard, je découvre que j'ai une perte d'exhaust qui me coutera une ligne d'exhaust neuve du manifold jusqu'au muffler, tout est pourri. Ils s'en lavent les mains, et ça me coute 1500$. Ils disent que ça doit etre de mon usage en 1 mois, et que pour un 2009 on peut pas s'attendre à grand chose.
Mon garagiste découvre aussi que l'air clim ne fonctionne pas, je doit enplus changer ma timing belt qui est dû. Ça fait 1 mois que je l'ai, et j'en suis rendu à 3000$ en réparations pour une voiture qui a coutée 6000$. Très déçu, mais leçon aprise.
Me and my partner bought a 2009 Hyundai Accent, said to be inspected. We were told the brakes were on 70% and the alternator belt was due, that's it.
At the end of a week, the rack hose broke. They fixed it, but it took 1 week of waiting.
About 3 weeks later, I discover that I have a loss of exhaust which will cost me a new line of exhaust from the manifold to the muffler, everything is rotten. They wash their hands of it, and it's costing me $ 1,500. They say it must be my use in 1 month, and that for a 2009 you can't expect much.
My mechanic also discovers that the air conditioning is not working, I must also change my timing belt which is due. It's been 1 month since I have it, and I am at $ 3000 in repairs for a car that cost $ 6000. Very disappointed, but learned lesson.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ J’ai acheté chez Automobiles Real Parent en décembre dernier une petiteToyota Écho 2004 super propre, bien qu’il était effectivement mentionné : « aucune garantie de bon fonctionnement », et bien que je ne l’ai pas fait « inspecté » ailleurs, m’étant fiée à ce que l’on m’avait dit que ce véhicule avait été inspecté.
Je ne savais pas que j’aurais à débourser + de mille dollars pour changer la crémaillère.
J’aurais aimé savoir que cette pièce (assez onéreuse merci) était assez endommagée pour avoir à la changer dans un bref délai.
Enfin, oui, M. Lebel est un très gentil vendeur. J’ai pu avoir 4 roues d’hiver avec mon achat.
Mais je saurai à l’avenir qu’il est préférable de faire inspecter un véhicule usagé ailleurs avant un achat. Il en coutera probablement entre $60.00 et $100.00 mais il n'y aura pas de "mauvaises surprises" et après coup, on peut toujours repenser à l'achat de la dite voiture...ou non!
Une femme un peu naïve.
I purchased a super clean little 2004 Toyota Echo from Automobiles Real Parent last December, although it did say "no guarantee of proper operation", and although I haven't had it "inspected" anywhere else, m relying on what I was told that this vehicle had been inspected.
I did not know that I would have to pay more than a thousand dollars to change the rack. I would have liked to know that this part (quite expensive thank you) was damaged enough to have to change it in a short time.
Finally, yes, Mr. Lebel is a very nice salesman. I was able to have 4 winter wheels with my purchase. But I will know in the future that it is better to have a used vehicle inspected elsewhere before a purchase. It will probably cost between $60.00 and $100.00 but there will be no "bad surprises" and after the fact, we can always think about buying said car...or not!
