Ils m’ont dit lors d’une réparation d’un flat que mes freins avant (disques et plaquettes) étaient finis finis. Ils m’ont même dit que c’était dangereux de rouler avec. Après m’avoir fait bien peur avec ça, ils m’ont fait une soumission pas chère pour « me dépanner ». Heureusement j’étais trop serrée pour accepter tout de suite alors je suis retourné chez moi et j’ai appelé mon beau-père (mécanicien de profession) pour savoir si c’était un prix adéquat. Il m’a finalement proposé de m’installer lui-même mes nouveaux freins en allant acheter nous-mêmes les pièces. Surprise: Lorsqu’il les a ouverts, ni les disques, ni les plaquettes étaient à changer. Les plaquettes étaient à peine usées (genre 15% d’usure). On a retourné les pièces finalement.
Si mon beau père n’avait pas été là et que j’avais aveuglément accepté leur soumission, j’aurais perdu 350$ pour rien.
Profiter de l’ignorance du monde pour s’enrichir malhonnêtement sur leur dos, ça se fait pas.

I was super satisfied with their service, I felt confident ... Until I realized that they had taken advantage of my ignorance to do without ...
They told me during a flatbed repair that my front brakes (discs and pads) were finished. They even told me it was dangerous to ride with it. After scaring me with that, they gave me a cheap quote to "help me out." Luckily I was too tight to accept right away so I went home and called my step dad (a mechanic by trade) to find out if this was a fair price. He finally offered to install my new brakes himself by going to buy the parts ourselves. Surprise: When he opened them, neither the discs nor the pads had to be changed. The pads were barely worn (like 15% wear). We finally returned the pieces.
If my stepfather hadn't been there and I had blindly accepted their bid, I would have lost $ 350 for nothing.
Taking advantage of the ignorance of the world to get rich dishonestly on their backs is not done.
Thieves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Petit garage de quartier où le personnel est sympathique. Malheureusement le taux de retour sur les travaux est assez impressionnant. Disons que pour les 4 dernières visites, on a du retourner faire corriger ou faire reprendre ailleurs. La dernière facture de 650$ pour un remplacement de radiateur, on a récupéré un véhicule dont le klaxon ne fonctionnait plus et dont le condensateur de l'a/c n'était pas remis en place convenablement. Dommage car le personnel est bien gentil et le garage bien situé. Mais à force de devoir faire reprendre les travaux, on va finir par aller directement ailleurs.
Small neighborhood garage with friendly staff. Unfortunately the rate of return on work is quite impressive. Let's say that for the last 4 visits, we had to return to have it corrected or have it picked up elsewhere. Last bill for $ 650 for a radiator replacement, a vehicle was recovered with the horn no longer functioning and the a / c capacitor not being replaced properly. Too bad because the staff is very nice and the garage well located. But by dint of having to resume work, we will end up going directly elsewhere.
