The only bartender extremely grumpy. Breakfast took forever. Obviously totally understaffed. We left and went to Auberge Knowlton where we got served a great breakfast quickly....and with a smile.

Historical Inn. Wifi is slow. Nice to immerse yourself in the old time.

The local theatre show at the Lakeview was fun. The Lakeview itself leaves much to be desired. The pub dinner of a hamburger was ghastly-- overcooked, very dry, cold ,no condiments, no offer of tea or coffee. The place was also freezing cold. Most people keep their coats on the whole evening. As usual I am very disappointed in this place.

Hotel was ok unfortunately, the construction in the street in front does hurt it. The evening we were there, there was a fundraiser with music which would have been nice to know considering that they have us a room right over the music. On the plus side, the 2 dining rooms are really nice.

Very poor management. Booked a week in advance and was assured by the owner, Van, that there would be no problems and gave me a confirmation number of my booking. Explicitly said that we wanted two rooms for Saturday. Arrived on Saturday and found that Van messed up and booked the wrong date. Take your chances with this one, or find another hotel.

A vintage Victorian hotel if you like to stay at historic hotels. The owner took great care to renovate the entire hotel to its original cachet a few years ago. Since it is a historic building, there is no elevator for the bedrooms all located on the second floor. There are two kinds of bedroom, small ones, like in the olden days, and large ones. The inn is called Lakeview since its inception more than 100 years ago, but there is no view of the Brome Lake. You are at a walking distance from picturesque downtown Lac Brome (formerly named Knowlton), a famous tourist village. There is a long nature trail near the hotel (maintained by the town) if you like to take a walk. When we went there, the restaurant was closed due to COVID-19, but will eventually reopen. The exterior pool was supposed to be heated, but the water was cold, maybe it wasn’t heated because of low attendance during the pandemic.

It was good only because the building is beautiful and a quick walk to restaurants. It was probably a much nicer stay before the pandemic. However..... 1. No food at all. A pub but opens at 5pm and only serves drinks. 2. Queen room very, very small. Sink in room and toilet and shower stall would not work well for overweight people. Very, very small. 3. AC not at all adequate. Good thing they had overhead fans which made the heat bearable 4. Internet/WIFI is not at all adequate. They have smart TV's but their internet did not allow us to connect to Netflix and as there is no cable so we couldn't watch tv. It was a quiet place, which was nice. Until they get the staff to get back to before pandemic amenities we would not recommend it which is too bad. We felt $160 including taxes was very expensive for the very limited amenities.
