★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Built in 1814, this building has been used for many purposes but has been a B&B for several years. As a hotel, it hosted many elite including Charles Dickens. The service is terrific, the proprietor has a deep knowledge of the history of Cornwall and area. This is THE place to stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My parents and I had a wonderful stay at this inn. Robert made us feel very comfortable and at home, and was extremely helpful. After serving an absolutely delicious and generous breakfast, Robert showed us around the inn. He told us in detail about the history of the inn, Cornwall, and the surrounding area. And not to mention, his dog, Hamish, was perfectly well-behaved and an absolute sweetheart! I would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful Inn run by a lovely person. Large shared space, with very well decorated and cared for rooms, set in downtown Cornwall. The location near Pit Street provides options for restaurants and the waterfront is a short walk away. Robert is well aware of local history and the shade gardens are the perfect place to enjoy your own bottle of wine. We will definitely be back. Ottawans wanting a little time away from home need to check it out

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic welcome from Robert and wee Hamish the Scottie dog. Wonderfully decorated rooms throughout the house with fine furnishings and interesting prints, books and music. Perfectly situated to walk into town for dinner or for an evening riverside stroll. Tasty breakfast and good conversation, to send you back refreshed onto the 401. Highly recommended. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Robert was an excellent host. Wife and I stayed in governor’s suite. Very nicely decorated. Property is right downtown so you can walk to all the great pubs and cafes the city has to offer. One block from waterfront park and st Lawrence river. Bed comfortable. Breakfast great. And conversation was excellent. The welcoming committee... little black Scottie ... was a great companion while we were there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved staying at Chesleys Inn.....so much history & each room is so well decorated. This place is 207 years old, well maintained, clean & feels like HOME. The rooms are cozy, comfortable beds & beautiful washroom. All covid protocols are followed. Family friendly place. Will definitely visit again. I must add, the breakfast prepared by Robert was the best & Hamish the sweetest & most friendliest dog just makes the stay so much more enjoyable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed our stay at Chesley's Inn. Our room was spotlessly clean and the decor was impressive. Hamish and I became friends instantly. He is such a docile, lovely dog! Robert was very nice and helpful. Since I am an avid gardener, I checked out Robert's garden after we settled in. It was well-maintained. Zinnias, my favorite annual, were blooming. Hanging baskets were pretty. While I was enjoying the garden, Hamish followed me around, LOL. It was a pleasant experience staying at Chesley's Inn. All the best to Robert and Hamish!
