★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time here. And we would definitely return. Counter service was very good and the staff were courteous. The croque monsieur was the best I have tasted in Calgary. And the pastries were delicious. All together a great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried the fruit tarte and the cannoli. Let me just say they were absolutely delicious! The fruit tarte had a mountain of fresh fruits, and the cannoli had the perfect sweet frothy centre. The ambience of the cafe was soothing and I would love to come here again for a chill wind-down!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was eagerly looking forward to this opening after the Starbucks that previously occupied this space closed their doors for good.
This has more than lived up to my expectations. A nice, quiet, relaxing environment where one can sit, enjoy a small lunch or one of the excellent in-house made pastries. I've yet to try everything on the menu but if the quality remains as high as it has, I'm going to make sure and try everything. Going here and spending a few hours eating, reading and relaxing has become a bit of a weekly routine for me and I can't recommend it enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great little cafe in Inglewood, Calgary. Gorgeous decor, very bright and lots of comfy seating options
The vibe is absolutely amazing - a place where you can meet friends, have a solo coffee or bring your mom for a nice treat. It's a great place to read or do creative work.
And the food and drinks - outstanding. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the amazing smell of delicious, fresh baked french pastries. I tried the cinnamon brioche and it was so good - a lovely croissant texture, crispy and flaky on the outside and tender on the inside, with lots of cinnamon flavour. Paired with a decaf americano misto - perfection. If you choose to have your pastry plated rather than to go, they add a lovely chocolate and fruit decoration to the plate for that extra bit of excellence. So good!
I also noticed many lunch options, such as sandwiches, soups and other items, so will definitely be back to try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interested in a trip to a Parisian suburb? Well look no further, we got Paris right here in Inglewood, Calgary. It was such a nostalgic experience as the cafe vibe and food was just like what we have experienced in France. With the French baked goods, baguette, Croque monsier and croissants, this was the perfect getaway we needed. So if you haven’t been to Au Croque Monsier, then what are you waiting for.
We tried:
? Fruit Custard Tart
A perfect tart filled with custard, topped off with lots of fruits, and a nice crumbly crust. The presentation was frikkin amazing as well.
? Cannoli
This was pretty amazing as well. It contained custard filling in a phyllo covered shell.
? Chocolate Eclair
Can’t go to a French Cafe without having an eclair. This was my favourite as we’re chocoholics. It tasted, looked and even sounded French.
Also ordered was an amazing latte, as we need some coffee along with these sweet treats.

I really enjoy plating desserts created by our wonderful owner Marc. Our French-flavored lunch menu will satisfy your taste and visual needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This business is run by a charming french family. The menu is small and simple, but the food is excellently prepared and beautifully plated. Espresso and lattes are very good and the atmosphere is pleasant. A solid choice if you are looking for a European style cafe and bistro.
