Extremely friendly and helpful shipper receiver

This has been a 6 month ordeal. I ordered a set of cylinder heads off of Rockauto. i had found during installation of a cylinder head that the camshaft bearing caps were way too tight, confirmed with plastigage. contacted rockauto and I was sent to ATK website and filled out the warranty information form. it stated I would be contacted for pick up and replacement. I waited 2 weeks for a callback, never received one. sent email to ATK help department, never received a call or email. contacted rock auto where they gave me the warranty departments direct phone number. contacted the warranty department where every one was very kind (American branch). I needed to contact this department several times and many different people over weeks to try to get something done, this is when I realized the southern hospitality was a formality and not any form of action. I was eventually transferred to the Edmonton distribution center (me being from Canada). the person I talked to in Edmonton was extremely rude and was claiming this needed to be delt with through rockauto, even though ATK is the producer of this product and all warranty is done through them. contacted warranty department several more times over many weeks. I finally was on a back order list to recieve a new head. the head finally arrived and recieved a duty fee of $75 , I paid it rather than disputing it so I could carry on with the job. the head was compleatly wrong so the process started all over again. I shipped the head back and was put on another back order list. I received a notice from the shipping company that I needed to pay $150 duty on the part, I disputed the charges and called the warranty department several more times and was told they would call me back or expect a call from this person or that person. I did not receive any calls. the shipping company sent it back in the mean time. started process all over again. a couple weeks later i received notice I owed $200 in duty to on the part. I needed to have my wife who was home for the week call several times a day since they would always tell her this person or that person will call her back. finally my wife harassed them enough to pay for the charges. i recieved and installed new head. fires up engine to find large oil leak. oil passage plug threads stripped out in the head. I helicoil the threads and put in plug from old head since I did not want this to go on for any longer.

Nightmare to deal with!!!!!! The Local Canadian rep is an arrogant person that you do not want anything to do with. Go to a reputable local machine shop!
