Be sure to see the outdoor area and the tractors and sleds, and the old school house which even had an old imperial era map. Learned a lot here and you can connect to the past.

There are a mix of interesting exhibits and items from First Nations, Pioneer and Heritage days, most of which are local and in very good shape. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I made sure to test that with questions that I'd had about some of the static displays. There are a several areas outside the museum outdoors as well, local buildings of note that were moved to the museum location and hold additional artifacts and items. Well worth a stop in while you're on the island and frankly for how low the admission price is I'm amazed at how much they have and how long it can take to go through.

Also, it is not just decorate-a-few-rooms-to-old-days type of museum but actually have a few items used before. worth a visit if you visit Manitoulin Island.
