There are some really interesting exhibits here, certainly all the carved ivory and wood, but especially the exhibits that explore injustices against the First Nations and their ongoing struggles. The building itself is really beautiful as well. You can easily spend hours here, it's a solid gallery with a decent gift shop. You'll come away from this experience feeling enriched for sure.

I like museum. AGO is one of kind. The exhibition are always well explained and we can take the time to enjoy all of it. I love to see the group of seven. Also, unique piece of arts that we can't see anywhere else. Spending a day at AGO is like stopping the time. We always leave transformed, like if time flies in another dimension. The pass is inexpensive so we go very often. You will love it

Great collection of art in the heart of downtown. The gallery has 5 floors with one level dedicated for special events and basement for small models of ships. Other floors are easily accessible via elevators and stairs. Level 2 is what I enjoyed the most with art from 1200s, there is a beautiful gallery in Canadian indigenous people as well as sculpture art collection on the same floor. Coat check is available for 2 bucks, art shop is also located on the main floor. Municipal Parking is available nearby like 40 larch street.

So many good exhibits, especially lots of well-known Canadian artists represented. There's also some great pieces of native art at the gallery. Price is free if you get an online pass (up to 25 years old), but you do have to pre-book tickets as well.

This place is freaking huge; a good way to spend a few hours! Tickets purchased in advance for Wednesdays after 18:00 are free. l recommend going no later than 18:30 on any given day. It will take you a couple of hours to simply glance at all the artwork. The animated moving wallpaper art by Lisa Reihana was the highlight of my visit. I'm definitely visiting again. PS : Appreciate art with your eyes ? A lot of the artwork can be reached by hand (unlike a lot of museums that make sure you keep your distance), but please refrain from touching them. I saw a lot of people do it and get told off by the staff.

A great family visit! Kind staff, interesting layout, beautiful architecture. The only downside was that there aren’t any physical maps, which sucks for tourists looking to keep maps as a souvenirs! Other than that, I enjoyed myself, they have a great blend of British, Asian, contemporary, photography, & native/ indigenous pieces. :)

Beautiful paintings, sculptures, artifacts, mediums, architecture, and creations. Really enjoyed my time here, it was very peaceful. So many stories packed into each room, it would take hours to just get through one section if you really read and appreciated everything. The exhibits are beautifully places and flows nicely.

A huge 5 level of gallery with amazing arts, models, painting and sculpture by different artists. Every room has a story to tell and one can easily spend an hour just in one section. Make sure to eat well and have ample time with you to visit the gallery. Also, they have a stand where you can keep your coat and bag otherwise if you are carrying a backpack, you have to carry it either on the front or the side but not in the back. I would recommend to get the tickets online or if you are a member of Toronto Public Library you can avail free passes every Saturday. Overall, a lovely experience.
