★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When Alarmforce was taken over by Telus, I told them that unfortunately a sign warning “guarded by Telus” did not apear credible to me. My neighbour uses Arpel and I called their Burnaby office. Sam came out very quickly and assessed my concerns. I was quite impressed by his knowledge and professionalism and gave my agreement. A meeting was set up for the install and that was that!
The box is hidden in a closet where it is not decorating my counter: the system is very user friendly.
I am very pleased.

The installation, technical support and follow-up have all been a huge let-down. I now regret my decision and wish I would have went with one of the bigger companies =[

We have been patrons of Arpel for two years, paying a monthly monitoring fee with a lockbox. We previously had been really lucky, never having the alarm activated for any reason. Installation and start up was smooth.
Recently we had an incident with a motion sensor triggered inside the house, at midday, while we were away. The monitoring company called quickly to confirm a security check was required. The security company they outsource to (premier security) advised they would be unable to check the premises as they were too busy. The wait time was estimated to be MULTIPLE HOURS.
Ultimately they have outsourced to an inadequate company, depending the police to do their job. Their response was completely unsatisfactory and I would absolutely not recommend using their service.
