Best gym in the area and it's not even close. JL has really helped me put on size and get in the best shape of my life! Will definitely be coming back!

I called for some information 5 times, because I am interested to subscribe to anytime fitness gym in Hull/Gatineau and unfortunately I got no answer. I am surprisingly disappointed. :-(

My favorite fitness organization and perfered franchise location. Leaving a positive review and shout-out to staff member JL, friendly and doing a great job around the facility. Keep up the great work.

This location has the most helpful staff. I’m new to the gym and have had a bunch of questions about machines that they always answer in the nicest ways. I love it here.

Small gym, but love the place. Not too crowded. They have 2 squat racks and 1 Smith machine, Dumbell up to 100lbs and the usual machines.

Great gym, always super clean and well taken care of. Nice friendly atmosphere and awesome layout. The staff are super helpful, big shout out to JL, he’s always looking out for us clients. I would definitely recommend checking out this anytime if you are interested in a new gym or live in the area!!

TL;DR: Worth the trip for gym rats who need their fix/want to stay on track with their program during COVID. Well-equipped. Could be cleaner. Bring own water. Heavy barbell lifters and spinners should go during non-peak hours. GETTING THERE: I visited this location on Mon, Oct 12, 2020 (Thanksgiving Day) 3-6am. An Uber from Centretown (Elgin/Somerset) cost $10 before tip. The return trip along Portage Bridge was a comfortable 45 minute walk to Centretown, well-lit (for nighttime safety) and includes a bike path. AMENITIES: The gym is equipped with the standard suite of amenities. This includes the usual lockers, coat rack and cubbies; the wi-fi info posted clearly on a piece of paper near the entrance area; three spacious private bathrooms (each with own shower); and a good spread of cardio, push/pull and cable machines. Every cable attachment imaginable is there, as well as short barbells, ez curl bars and a hex/trap bar. There are two squat/power racks, but also only two barbells (and both are small in diameter). Therefore, it is not possible for two people to squat while a third does landmine presses/deadlifts/etc., so you may need to work in with someone or go during non-peak hours. There is a long area (~ 12 m) perfect for exercises like lunges, farmer's walks and sled pushes (which they have, fyi). The radio also plays bilingual music. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: - Extra floor space for stretching, foam rolling, skipping rope or doing deadlifts can be somewhat limited. - Cardio machines have plexiglass separators, except bike machines. - The water fountains are taped off and you cannot use them due to COVID. Bring your own big water jug, fill up using the bathroom sinks or use the vending machine. An ice-cold 500mL Dasani water is $2. - There are four analog clocks (no digital clocks) and none of them have a second hand. Those who track heart rate/rest periods should make sure to have their phone with them. - The scale is also analog; max weight is 300 lbs. - There is no "broomstick" for stretching (this is personal preference, lol).
