Amy Antony, M.Ed., M.C., is a Registered Provisional Psychologist, based in Edmonton, AB, offering therapy and counselling services to children, adolescents & adults.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults. My practice includes therapy and consultation services. I am a registered provisional psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.I believe that everyone deserves to be happy. Sometimes, we get stuck. Sometimes our thinking becomes sticky. Other times, it is our belief in ourselves or the defenses we use to that limits our potential. Let’s face it, we often tend to bury our pain or avoid it at all costs but eventually, this pain or hurt shows really important signals. These signals might include anxiety, depression, substance use, or anger. It is important that we don’t ignore these signs. It is important to me that I meet you at your current place of readiness to walk this road with you at a pace that is manageable for you. Dealing with pain and hurt can be overwhelming. Promoting a space of compassion, understanding and hope which can lead you towards a life of healing and happiness.

As a psychologist, I am trained to provide a safe and supportive space where my clients can work towards healing. I believe healing is accomplished in an environment where you feel cared for and treated with dignity while promoting emotional safety. Changing old patterns and healing resurfacing wounds can have profound effects on your life. I am loyal to my clients’ growth. It is an immense privilege to walk this road with my clients.

I have two Masters’ degrees in the areas of Developmental and Counselling Psychology. I worked as a school teacher for 8 years and currently work in the private practice, non-profit, and education fields. I have completed specialized training in psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behaviorial therapy, self-harm, anxiety, depression, suicide, severe behaviors, and crisis intervention.

I love to travel, scuba dive, hike and spin (spin class). I enjoy using mindfulness and love to play cards, share laughter, and connect with friends and family.
