We are so glad they were recommended to us! Robin Holmes was our inspector. He was very thorough, detailed and explained everything to us in a way we could understand. He answered all of our questions, walked us through every square inch of the house, and gave us a very detailed report (with pictures). The report also included recommendations on future maintenance and upkeep of certain areas of the home. He was also available to answer further questions that popped up some time after the inspection. He caught some very important safety issues with the home we ended up purchasing, and explained to us what needed to be done to properly rectify the issue. Robin takes pride in his work and we truly felt he cared about giving us the best insight and advice on our potential future home. We can now move into our new home with more confidence knowing Robin has given us a thorough written record of what we need to do going forward to ensure we take care of the house long term. :-)

Vancouver is seen as very progressive with residential building codes, and so new construction in this city has a lot of systems that we were unfamiliar with, and it was well worth having an inspector to learn more about their maintenance and care. Robin was thorough, detailed, and careful in his documentation, prompt with his report, and very patient and supportive with our questions. Amerispec also included a membership to an app/website that will help us keep track of maintenance schedules and appliance recalls. Highly recommended.

They said that Robin Holmes was very thorough and explained everything in a easy to understand way. We were also able to have Robin inspect our townhouse and despite having the recommendation, we were still very surprised. Robin takes the time to systematically check the house systems, walls and fixtures to ensure nothing is missed. His walkthrough with us and our realtor was comprehensive but not overwhelming. He is extremely knowledgeable and shared many great tips for home maintenance along the way. Lastly, he was also able to show how our townhouse compared against others in the strata, which is was very helpful. Robin was amazing and hope to use him for all of our future inspection need.
