★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a gas leak at the pilot light. Initially had 777-fire out to fix it. Had a technican come out, took fireplace apart. Put parts on protective sheet. Broke one of the ceramic logs. Partially vacuumed area where fireplace was. Stated a new copper pipe would cost $120. Stated should not be hard to find. This was on Nov.24/19. Was finally informed no part available, approximately 2 weeks later Would cost $1500-$5000 to replace fireplace. Asked for part back , which finally arrived before Christmas. I went to Alsips on Jan.20/20. On Jan.24/20, a gas fitter arrived, after explaining the leak problem. He protected the floor. Took fireplace apart, then contactco his office for a new part. While waiting he vacuumed up what wasn't cleaned up before. The new part was delivered, he installed it and tested for leaks. He stated there were none. Left a very reasonable bill.Will set up reinspection. Learned my lesson, next time will only call Alsips. Thank You !!!

They corrected issues no other company were able to figure out. They even painted the box so they look like new. If you are looking for friendly, knowledgeable staff that you can 100% count on than look no further than Alsip’s.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alsip's came to clean our gas fireplace and due to human error, shot oily soot into our open plan bungalow house. This resulted in us being forced out of our home for almost 2 weeks while Priority Restoration came to assess the damage and to clean what they could (floors, furniture, blinds, table, computers, food, clothing all damaged), with the owner promising to take care of everything and ensured us not to worry about anything. Following those 2 weeks out of our house, they decided to pull an insurance claim and from then on refused to communicate with us. This has been, and continues to be, a horrible situation that they are making worse by refusing to follow through with how they assured us they were dealing with this. Further, our fireplace is still broken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was not impressed with the communication and lack of organization and thoroughness. The initial inspection was done by an incompetent employee who obviously had no Wett inspection certification. I communicated my concerns with Corey who sent a second inspector who again missed seeing a large hole had they performed a thorough inspection. I then had to pay for a third visit to correct this. I found the lack of communication and transparency frustrating and never received a refund for the first visit. I would not recommend this company.
