What helps differentiate good trainers from regular ones? They go up and beyond to help dog owners - not just for money. I reached out to saundra on insta for my dogs leash reactivity issues. I have not used her services yet but she did not hesitate to extend a helping hand and offered advise. I am very thankful for trainers like her who are true dog lovers and help people with specific tips and suggestions without restricting it to an hour of training course. Thanks again! after hearing all the rave about alpine dogs I was excited to work with saundra. ended up being a waste of money, our puppy didn't aquire any new skills. which for $200 was pretty upsetting. when I spoke about this with saundra, she was unwilling to work something out with us. We were required in our puppy contract to go through puppy classes. I knew that by the time he was able to join saundra, that he already knew everything outlined in her course, and then some. I had an online consultation with her to discuss this, and expressing that I thought we should look at doing one on one training with more advanced work instead. She assured me that her course would be good for him and that he would still learn lots. I really stressed that I didn't want to waste my money as he did everything she outlined in her course to perfection first day, we show up. all the puppies are learning to sit for the first time. meanwhile our pup learned to sit/lay down/shake paw/go to his matt, come when called etc already. the class was of zero help. after the first class I sent her an email just expressing that I thought the group lessons weren't the right choice for us and asked if we could either get a refund, or transfer the money to one on one courses. she refused to offer us any solution and said we chose the puppy course so we can't back out. which is exactly why I called her for the initial consultation and it was her who swayed me out of doing one on one training. because of this incident, I will no longer be returning, as I can't afford to lose out on money like that.

Saundra is an amazing dog trainer and a wonderful and caring person as well. She in incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to reading your dog's behavior and was able to teach me various ways to recognize and correct undesirable behaviors using positive reinforcement. Bella loved her training sessions (hello, treats!) and I saw such a positive change in her right away. Saundra will definitely be my go to person for any training needs I have in the future. Saundra has worked with my dog Gus when he was a 10 week old puppy and then whenever I’m up in Whistler I make sure to schedule sessions with her. She is an absolute professional and master of her craft and it shows. Her approach with dogs and owners is fantastic and I would highly recommend Alpine Dogs to any pet owner. Saundra have been a life saver for our dog and his separation anxiety! She is professional, very knowledgeable and encouraging!
