First off, before taking my tv in, I called to ask what the average repair time would be and he told me a week or two depending on if he needed to order parts. I then dropped my TV off, paid the $35 upfront service fee. ( I assumed this fee was to diagnose the problem) seemed fair. One month later, no call, I decide to look into the progress. I get a machine saying he's on a service call, leave a message, get a call back two days later. He then tells me, he thinks he knows what the problem is, but he's not sure, and he's having trouble finding the part and needs more time to look for it. fair enough, the tv is a 3 year old 60 inch Samsung, not like we're dealing with some weird brand, or some old out of date technology here. But, That's fine, I told him to keep looking and let me know. I then talked to a friend who had the exact same experience with this guy, and is completely convinced that this business is just operating to collect $35 service fees. And steal tvs and rip off our elderly. Then two weeks later, I receive a call from him to tell me he's afraid he was unable to find the part, I was in northern bc at the time, planning on coming home in 3 days. I told him I'd be there to pick it up in a few days, he says: "well, I can just dispose of it for you, I don't have room for it, and I am not a storage facility". I told him not to do that, I will be there in three days, He said: "I will leave it outside, I can't deal with all these tvs, it's killing my business". Meanwhile he's wasted my time, I'v paid 35$ for nothing, it's raining out. I had a friend pick it up 30 minutes later, plan to take elsewhere, Stay tuned.
G	Grahame Ware on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walter has been terrific. I have had a few problems with odds and sods on TV's breaking down and Walter was always honest. He didn't try to rip me off. He was quite fast in solving the problems. I can heartily recommend him for good, old-fashioned service.
A	Andrew Cowie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 80 year old father took his electronic device for repair to this business. Walter charged my dad $25 for an estimate and said he would call my dad in a few days. After a month went by and no phone call, my sister, in my dad's presence, called this business to find out what was happening, she was advised that Walter was waiting for parts for the machine, which was going to cost my dad $200. Since my father never received a call to authorize this work, my sister told Walter she and my dad were going to come and get the unit. When they arrived, nobody would answer the door,( this business is at this guys house) a few days later, my sister and father arrived unannounced and he answered the door and they retrieved the unit. I found out about the need for repair and took the unit to another business, who within an hour, found that all it needed was two small belts at a cost of $28 installed. I contacted Walter on the phone and asked him what he thought the issue was, he stated it was two very expensive electronic devices from Sony, and that he knew what he was doing, I have to agree he knew exactly what he was doing, he was attempting to scam my father out of $$ that was way beyond what the unit needed in repair. Nor did he have a clue about what the problem with the unit was. In my personal opinion, this man is out for one thing, he is willing to totally scam the innocent elderly of their hard to come by dollars. This man should be ashamed of himself and I will make sure that who ever is willing to listen, knows what this business is all about. Shame on you.
