Unfortunately, I *strongly* recommend against Allstate as an insurance provider. Saved almost 50% by switching away from them, and had a few pretty rough/shady experiences with them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Offices are closed because they're scared of the coof and I've been stuck on hold every time I've called over the last month as they're "experiencing higher then normal call volumes". Amazing how this happens every day of the week at all times. 20 minutes and still waiting. Happy to take my money each month of course, just cant be bothered to talk to you once they have your money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely the worst company ever. Had to submit an auto claim, car was hit while parked outside of our home. It's been 5 months since I submitted that claim and I get no communication from Allstate at all. No return emails, no return phone calls. This has got to be the worst company ever!! When I tell people that my car is still damaged after 2 months of a 100%no fault accident, they are shocked, as am I. Save yourself the headaches and go with a company that provides customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So let's talk about why Allstate is the worst for home insurance. Got an email beginning of January saying 'Happy to Renew your Policy,' and then to my surprise I get an email from our adjustor saying that they won't be renewing our home insurance because we had two claims in the past year. I asked where in my policy does it state that I can't make two claims; and guess what - It doesn't! The binder who says yes or no said that they cannot because of our two claims.
Each time I made those claims, I asked point blank if it would affect our insurance and they told me nope, shouldn't be an issue. I did everything a homeowner should do - home inspection, cleaned up the mess left behind on the claim and yet here I am in a mess because I thought allstate insurance would be there for us. Now we are looking at potentially not getting home insurance and having to sell our house. Their response - sorry for the inconvenience. Well done Allstate, well done. So yes, pick Allstate if you want to be disappointed and left in the wind.
