I am pleased to say, this was the BEST EVER visit.
Driving a 2002 VW van, that is no longer made, close to classic age, rare at the best of times. Owner Tony knew we had no idea, expecting to pay $3,000 to $4,000.. He arranged to rewire the radio which had been wired incorrectly, did a quick sensor change, did a filter and fluid change. And we left smiling, with about a $500.00 bill
We will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I take all my vehicles to Alberni automatic transmission. Great , honest, hard working people! I have taken over 20 of my vehicles there, they have alway fix them without a problem afterwards. The bill has always been cheaper than I thought it would be. Very knowledgeable people there!

They did an awesome job rebuilding the transmission in my 1993 dodge D250 1st gen cummins.
I would highly recommend these guys for all your transmission work!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was here 2 weeks ago after breaking down on our way from Ucluelet.
When I got to the shop, I was very impressed at how clean the place was.
I've never been to a mechanic shop that was spotless.
Right away I knew that Alessandro (the owner) did good clean work.
Alessandro is a straight shooter, he'll tell it like it is and won't beat around the bush.
He's also very fair and understanding.
Within a couple of hours he had my issues taken care of, including inspecting for any additional damage and was honest with his prognosis.
In addition, he was able to look up info on my go to shop close to my home and gave me some great Intel.
I really hope Alessandro stays open for a while, as it's hard to find good, honest shops.
If you are ever in need of transmission related work, this is the place.
I would not hesitate to recommend Alessandro to my family and friends.
