I've waited a year to write this to prove that Alamo Turbos justification for not honoring their warranty was wrong. In May of 2018 my small, high compressor turbo failed on my BMW X5 Diesel. Wanting to support local, i searched and found a local company to give me an estimate on a rebuild. I spoke with Alamo and was given an estimate and a timeline for the rebuild. I went ahead and had them do the rebuild with the understanding i had a 1 year warranty. I felt confident in what i was being told. I received my rebuilt turbo about a week longer than i was quoted due to them having to ship to Calgary for further work. I installed my turbo and everything seemed fine. 3 months later and maybe 1000 kilometers the turbo failed. Upon failing, it allowed pure oil to enter my exhaust and plug my DPF solid. I removed the turbo and was confident that Alamo would honor their warranty. I was so wrong. 3 weeks later and a lot of conversations and a visit from one of their representatives, i was denied warranty. They claimed that my turbo was starved of oil and hence failed. The best they would do was to let me purchase a new turbo at their cost of just over $1400. I declined. I searched the internet and found a new turbo from Pelican Auto Parts in the U.S.A.with a 2 year manufacturers warranty. I had it landed at my door in west Edmonton for $1100 CA. I installed it and have been trouble free for a year and about 10000 kms. I did nothing different with this new turbo. I didn't clean my supply lines nor replace them. Their warranty is not worth the paper it's written on. Stay away from Alamo. Search online. I'm sure there are better options than using Alamo. I have a lot of friends with a lot of turbos and i guarantee, Alamo will get none of their work. Shame on you Alamo!!!

Was looking for a turbo for a project car and was sent to Codie by a mutual friend. He helped me fit a turbo to my application and at a reasonable price! Couldn't be happier! Will visit again and would recommend, no question!!!

If I could give a zero stars I would, after purchasing multiple turbos from Alamo I have found these guys have inferior rebuilds and won't stand behind their products. The only way I got warranty on my last purchase was force them to let me watch the tech pull the turbo apart and even then they tried to blame "coolant" contamination on the failure, samples proved otherwise and the fact that they had not put loctite on the compressor wheel nut was the actual failure. I have a shop that I install 1-2 turbos a week in and these guys have gotten my last dime. Despite the fact that this last turbo lasted 3 hrs on the unit and it was very blatantly their fault the refuse to help with a tow bill or labour to swap the turbo a second time... Moral of the story is unless you like to waste cash there are far better options in Alberta

Had a Tomei turbo rebuilt with Alamo last winter and turbo held up through all the abuse thrown at it. Brought the turbo back to be disassembled for powder/ceramic coating and to this day still fantastic service. Great people, top quality.

First time I dealt with these guys was with a Mack turbo with about 200 hours on it, $1800 from Mack who wouldn't warranty to these guys a $400 repair. Second time was with a pair of cat turbos, $8000 from Kenworth or $2300 here, same warranty. I've never heard anyone complain over saving a couple thousand bucks and getting quality work.

Went in here on two separate occasions.was looking for a turbo clamp, and a oil feed line nipple. They had both in stock to my surprise as they are seemingly hard to come by! Great service and even better employees! Would recommend for all turbo needs
