He also found ways to keep kids interested when learning techniques. I am always amazed to see how well he runs his classes and the befit the kids quickly get out of it

It's rare to encounter an individual with the kind of bravery, and passion for their craft, that they would risk moving to a foreign country in order to learn from the most authentic teachers. For a decade he lived in Japan, training rigorously at the famed Hombu Dojo with several 1st generation sensei of Yoshinkan Aikido. His discipline earned him the opportunity to become "Uchi-deshi" (live-in apprentice) at Hombu, the only North American ever invited to do so. Having been certified in the cultural home of Aikido, he chose to return to Canada to pass on his knowledge to a new generation of martial artists. He's a deeply ethical entrepreneur, with a precise knowledge of his art, who will patiently teach his specialized skillset to anyone with the dedication to learn. The classes at Ryugikan are traditionally structured, yet adapted for younger audiences, and the community contains individuals of all ages seeking to gain mastery over their movement. It's truly an honour to train with Graham-Sensei.

She was bullied a lot prior to her aikido training. It has given her the confidence to stick up for herself and others. I would highly recommend aikido ryugikan to anyone looking for a local dojo at which to train. Children as young as 4 participate and enjoy learning from Graham. I am so glad I chose this organization for my child.
