About Advanced cardiology

Advanced Cardiology Consultants and Diagnostics (ACCD)is a one of kind clinic in Western Canada offering complete cardiopulmonary investigations in one roof. Over the last couple of years, we have grown and continue to expand offering a wide variety of services for you and your patients. At ACCD we believe in advanced thinking and this is reflected in the our use of advanced innovative technology focusing on providing exceptional, evidence based, patient centered care, such as on site Exercise Stress Echocardiograms and Carotid Intimal Medial Thickness. ACCD was the first clinic in Alberta to offer onsite Exercise Stress Echocardiograms to help diagnose various cardiac diseases. This unique modality is more specific than the thallium stress test without the harmful radiation exposure.

Our multidisciplinary team uses existing resources and collaborates with various sub-specialities, such as Cardiologists, Respirologists, Radiologists, Internal Medicine, and Family Physicians along with Dietitians, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Sonographers to provide fast, efficient, and complete consultative and diagnostic services, evaluations and therapies. We believe in direct communication with the referring physician, and ongoing and regular updates. In addition, at the clinic multiple languages are spoken further increasing access to the patient. These include English, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Polish, Swahili, Tagalog, Ukrainian, Gujarati and Russian. In fact, ACCD is a leader in starting initiatives in South Asians in Canada, as exemplified by our grassroots level initiative know as DIL Walk.

Heart disease is universal. At ACCD we understand that although the signs, symptoms and treatment of heart disease is the same across all ethnic boundaries, access to information is not. By developing and providing educational resources in multiple languages we are dedicated to providing the highest quality cardiac care and service to help patients better understand their risk for heart disease and how they can reduce their risk, and help modify their risk factors.

Try to avoid this place if you can, if not, get ready to meet worst customer service ever. Even specialists are ridiculously rude and unprofessional

Already looking for new clinic. Communication with this place is horrible. I thought I was going for a tread mill run till the technician starts talking about an IV. This was never pre communicated to me in writing or verbally.I have a phobia of needles and not getting a warning about any tests involving them caused a panic attack. And now I am finding a new clinic and lowering this one to a two star.

I'd leave no star rating, but that's not an option. I wouldn't say I like writing negative reviews and knocking down a business, but this one needs to be announced. After several appointments and testing, I was in yesterday morning for my results. I waited over an hour after my scheduled appointment time, and an unnamed doctor came into the room and sat down for 1-minute maximum to tell me all my results were normal. So, off I went thinking that's great news. But then, Yesterday afternoon, I also had another medical appointment (no association to Advanced Cardiology) with an Endocrinologist. This excellent & professional doctor reviewed my results and notified me of my carotid ultrasound findings that the unnamed doctor at Advanced Cardiology did not disclose to me. Unfortunately, this facilities strategy gets as many people through the doors, and AHS will pay them for each visit. There's undoubtedly a lack of customer service, lack of quality patient attention/care and for sure a lack of knowledgeable doctors. So if you have no other option than to go here, please ENSURE you get a second opinion from a professional.

Like others who have reviewed I too have had a poor experience at Advanced Cardiology. After going for a CT scan in October I was unable to make my Appointment date to review the results. I called to change my review appointment and was told by reception "no need" and that I "was eligible for an on phone consultation" with Doctor Kapoor. I thought this was great and made my first phone call appointment with the Doctor. I sat by the phone waiting on the date and never did receive a call. I called back to the Office & let them know what happened. They apologized and rebooked me for a second call. No big deal. The date of the second call arrived. I waited for 4 hours, once again patiently awaiting the phone call & once again I never received the call. I called the Office again and once again voiced my frustration. This time the receptionist was quite rude to me as if I had no reason to be upset. After calming down a 3rd call appointment was made and once again no call came. I finally gave up with the calls and today called to book an appointment to physically see the Doctor to discuss my results. I was immediately told they cannot get me in until August to discuss my CT scan results that they have had in their possession since the previous October. This is an unacceptable way to treat a patient. I have nothing but good things to say about Doctor Kapoor but whoever is running his administration department is clearly lacking as the many other similar online reviews indicate. As others have stated this seems to be a theme at Advanced Cardiology. Save yourself the headache and try a different outfit. It is sad to say I will be seeking a different place to deal with my health issues going forward even if it delays me finding out my results and possibly being detrimental to my health.

My dad was booked appointments 3 times that Dr. Anmol Kapoor will call between 10am to 4pm. We waited all these days but no one bothered to call us. It seems doctor does not appreciate his patient's time. We are very disappointed the way my dad is being treated. I would say " very poor service".

Terrible at communication. Waited over 2 weeks after tests for cardiologist to contact me. Waited all day to hear on the appointment day, and never heard from them. Very unprofessional. Feel a bit used . Did ALL the tests.... no response. Guess I was an excuse for them to collect their fees and nothing more. Maybe I should send them a bill for missing their appointment with me!!!

So everything was great for all my in person appointments. However I received a phone call on Monday January 24 to let me know the doctor would be phoning me to let me know the results on Tuesday January 25 between 3pm to 7pm. Never heard from him. 2 days later I phoned them and she said in a very scripted robotic voice β€œOh, the doctor did not phone you as he was busy with an urgent client” and that’s it, the line goes quiet and so I ask β€œOk no problem so can I book to speak to him??” And she said β€œYes I can book you” 3 times and then says next Tuesday, February 1st.. okay so that’s another week I have to wait because he was busy that one day? So I asked if there was anything sooner to which she responded β€œNo, however, I can do an in person appointment.. for next Tuesday” WHAT? How it that in any way sooner or better? So I stuck with the phone appointment next Tuesday between 3pm to 7pm. I understand that things get busy and things happen but to have to wait another week to find out my results to not even get a follow up call after he never called me to have a unhelpful woman on the other end of the phone, is just infuriating and disappointing. Would not recommend.
