β β β β β STAY AWAY! Why? Where do I even start... First, the driver of the tow truck was trying to line up the t-bar lift and forgot to put my car in park so it almost rolled to hit the parked car in front of me on the street. Then when returning to my car, he turned my ignition key when the car was already on. The screeching sound that came from my car made us cringe. He proceeded to take the car to Stan's transmission where I learned the driver did not hook up the car correctly and took this picture. I'm not sure why but he sees this every day so I trust him. The Drive also released the car too soon while on the sloped entrance of the shop, so the transmission technicians had to put wood planks under the car so we could drive it off the lift.
While the technicians were checking to see if my car was damaged from the incorrect set up, the driver proceeded to lower the car. One tech had his head under the front tire and the body of the car surrounding that ended up hitting him at the top of the head. The driver showed no remorse and even argued it was the fault of the technicians. He should be taking into account safe practices for your car and other humans but clearly doesn't care.
I called and reported the incident to a manager at Advance Towing and he said he would call Stan's Transmission to apologize. I confirmed with Stan's that this did not happen. Unethical company that doesn't care about you or your car, go elsewhere. But if you have a transmission issue, take it to Stan's.

β β β β β 3.5 stars guy was very nice, cost of the tow quite high. I had to help guy load truck, he was on time. Because I had to help my uber charged me a wait fee.

β β β β β I have used Advance Towing twice within two days. On Saturday, Oct. 30th, Harvey (a driver) came to my aid and helped me, towing my truck to my home. I used BCAA who first called Drake Towing, who left me waiting stranded for five hours. Drake Towing never showed, so BCAA then called Advance Towing to help me. Harvey came to my aid within 40 minutes and was incredibly helpful, informative and just really kind. Then on Monday, Nov. 1st, I need another Tow to get my car to an auto repair shop. This time I asked for the same company and the same driver. Again, Advance Towing was quick to send a tow truck, this time with a different driver named Siavash (or Sia for short). Siavash was also incredibly kind and helpful. He came so quickly, even quicker than expected. Siavash was incredibly helpful also. He was such a nice man. Very helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this Towing company, Advance Towing (aka Jimβs Towing per their business card). I also spoke with Basir and Moe (dispatchers?) at this company and they were so understanding. From now on I will only use Advance Towing and I will always ask for Siavash and/or Harvey. I highly recommend these drivers, if you want prompt service and kindness and compassion when they arrive.

β β β β β My Volvo died en route to finish shopping this morning with my wife in Vancouver heading to North Vancouver. Died Nanaimo and Grandview heading north.
I called for first time Volvo Roadside Assistance for the first time and 5 minutes later the tow driver arrived on scene.
He not only towed my car that was blocking traffic yet also attempted to resolve my issue. He jump started me which seemingly worked and did not. He then towed my vehicle to the restaurant so we could unload groceries for my wife and he insisted on helping us unload my cargo.
He then towed my vehicle to the dealership and along the way was offering me to drive me back to the restaurant.
I have never expected this level of service from anyone, let alone a tow truck driver.
I highly recommend as is the first very positive experience Iβve had with a towing company.
Please support them. They are good people.

β β β β β On March 08, 2020 I called my insurance company belairdirect to have my car towed out of the underground parking. To make a long story short, my car was damaged as the car was towed up the ramp out of the garage. The strap gave way and my car rolled down the ramp crashing against the security fencing. As it turns out, Advance Towing did not have any insurance at the time of the accident so I have to pay $500. Seems to me the Advance Towing and bellairdirect are both liable. Time to sue!

β β β β β After an accident, our car needed a tow. The driver who towed our car was super helpful. He assessed the car damage and suggested where to tow the car based on the damage and where we live. After the shop looked at the vehicle, it turned out that his assessment was accurate. I'm sorry I didn't get his name. I appreciated his helpfulness and expertise during a stressful time.

β β β β β We got two right tires flatted while driving home from Cypress. Then I called advanced towing. The driver Amir (#45) was sent there to help us. He is professional and responsible. We had a good experience with him.
