Access Midwives

Very satisfied with my experience as a first time mom with Access Midwives. I would absolutely recommend them. Amanda, Rachel and Sarah were absolutely amazing to me throughout my journey. Shout out to Simone as well who helped me through a somewhat difficult birth. They were always available and that help me a lot as this was my first time pregnant and I didn't know what to expect majority of the time. They were excellent at calming my fears and ensuring baby and I were ok. The first few weeks postpartum was more challenging than my entire pregnancy and these ladies ensured I was well taken care of. Not to mention the house calls in the middle of a pandemic. Cheers to you ladies. You guys are awesome!!!!

Wonderful midwives and pregnancy experience. I had intense anxiety about labour and birth, and I felt immediately taken care of and at ease with my midwives - Amanda, Beth & Rachel. They are all amazing and took care of me and my family so well through a 40 hour labour process. I highly recommend Access Midwives to any expecting woman!

I had a wonderful experience with Access Midwives during my pregnancy and 6 weeks postpartum with my first child. We dealt with Amanda and Rachel for my whole pregnancy. Both ladies very knowledgeable, and supportive. Half way through my pregnancy, the pandemic started and although my husband was no longer able to join me for my appointments, I still felt taken care of by both ladies. I was going to Mac every two weeks for ultrasounds and they were up to date on making and changing appointments for me. The receptionists there were also easy and friendly to deal with! I wanted either Rachel or Amanda present for my birth (As they knew all the details of my pregnancy), but due to their schedules at the hospital at the time, were not able to be there. I was nervous dealing with another midwife as she didn’t know my history. Our baby girl arrived within one hour of arriving at the hospital. Ashley was great and we Thank her so much for her support that night and ensuring a smooth delivery and after care. My postpartum support was with Rachel and I can not thank her enough. As new parents, you always worry with your first child and want to make sure you are doing everything right. Rachel’s support was invaluable and she reminded us that we were doing a great job. She was great with Emilia and helped me with breastfeeding positions. It was wonderful to have in home visits with her during a pandemic. Her visits were never timed, didn’t seem rushed. She would be there for as long as you needed her and always answered our questions (no matter how silly they sounded)! I hope to deal with her again in the future. I recommended Access Midwives to friends and to my sister who also dealt with Amanda and Rachel during her pregnancy. Thank you again!

I had an amazing experience with the pink team at Access Midwives. Their support and care throughout my pregnancy was above and beyond. My labour and delivery was extremely fast which created a stressful situation for a first time mom. Kristen was on call for my delivery and I could not have been happier with how motivating and empowering she was. Looking forward to delivering with Access Midwives again in the future!

Tamara, Simone and Erin were such an amazing team and I am so thankful I chose Access Midwives. They were amazing about taking the time to answer any and all questions during my pregnancy never making the appointments feel rushed. They had so many unique and more natural suggestions for symptoms that popped up like heartburn and restless legs. Loved having more natural alternatives that weren’t just running to typical solutions. They also provided so much support given the fact that being pregnant during a pandemic was exceptionally stressful. My delivery had to switch to OB care while in the hospital due to some risk factors, but Tamara still attended my daughter’s delivery and really helped direct my pushing so that I delivered her fast and efficiently. In addition our postpartum care was phenomenal. Having the midwives to answer all questions and concerns and such hands on care felt such a blessing. At my last appointment I was particularly impressed that Simone took time to discuss the risks of postpartum depression, particularly for new moms during the pandemic. It gave me the opportunity to have discussions with my family to make sure I had the right support in place. I 10/10 believe I picked the best care providers and feel so lucky I had such a great team with my first pregnancy.

I was fortunate to have Access Midwives for both of my pregnancies! I loved the personal care and positive atmosphere! I would not hesitate to refer anyone I know who is looking for care to Access Midwives. They are professional, caring, and wise and will ensure your pregnancy-related needs are met at all times! Just a tip - as soon as you find out you're pregnant register on their website. They fill up so quickly due to their great service!!!

I cannot say enough about both teams from each pregnancy I had. Elise and Connie were amazing during my first pregnancy and Simone was an Angel who if it weren’t for during birth I would not have gotten through it. She was my calm in the storm. My second time I dealt a lot with Tamara and she was absolutely fantastic in every way! She is so genuine and passionate about what she does that I would highly recommend this clinic!

Incredible midwives at Access Midwives that helped me each step of the way during my pregnancy. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the amazing experience I had with my team during pregnancy, delivery & postpartum. They truly care about you and your needs and having 24/7 access in case of emergencies is extremely comforting. Will absolutely be using them for future pregnancies!
