Abbott Road Suites

Had to travel to Ottawa area for extended work stay, found this gem of a place. Great value and a fabulous way to avoid the ‘same-old hotel blues’. Well situated for the Ottawa surrounding area. Great hosts in a beautiful comfortable house and surrounding area.

We stayed at Abbott Road Suites for several days while our house was booked for numerous real estate showings. The room was very clean and well stocked, and the bed was comfy! Ann and her husband were most gracious when it came to our two large dogs and welcomed them with open arms which is definitely rare in the hospitality industry. She made sure our room stayed well stocked and told us that if we needed anything to just let her know. We will definitely be recommending Abbott Road Suites to anybody looking to stay in the area.

The hosts are as charming as this little slice of heaven nestled in the trees! Minutes off the highway and every amenity you could think of. Anne’s attention to detail and all the little high end perks were fabulous, I have been back several times. Highly recommend.

What an incredible gem of a place to stay at. This will be my second stay at Anne and Ricks lovely property. I cannot say enough about Anne and Rick and their hospitality. Anne has thought of everything you could possibly need while on a trip. The air conditioning was cold the pool was refreshing and the company was amazing! My husband and I will be back!

A few days into a month stay. Small Ontario town south of Ottawa. Here for both work and pleasure. So, not a lot of choices to suit our time frame needs, but Abbott Road Suites stood out online. Booking could not have been simpler. Check in is easy and suited to anytime arrival. Our host has been wonderful with communication, very welcoming and texted a first morning follow up. Our suite is very comfortable with a large, tiled walk-in shower, very comfy king size bed, lovely sheets, towels and bathroom amenities, good workspace with fast WiFi, great AC and ceiling fan, a kitchen and walk in closet. Easily met and exceeded our expectations. The grounds are very nice, too, plus plentiful parking. Wonderful coffee and tea setups added to the special treatment. Just about everything you’ll need. And for a very fair price. Highly recommended.

We spent 8 days here. Overall, it was a great experience. We rented two suites. The South Suite was well appointed and had most everything you need for a long term stay like ours. The East Suite was a little quirky with its two kitchens but quite nice. Anne was very accommodating with any requests we had. There is real potential for a first class stay once they get the pool deck finished and get the outdoor seating all sorted out. There were only two things that were a little challenging. There was no place to put your cloths in either suite. It wouldn't be a big deal to live out of your suitcase for a weekend, but for a week, it was a little more of a challenge. The same applies to the lack of towel bars or hooks. There was no where to put your wet towels. But other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

This is such a good rate and great place for a short or extended stay! The hosts truly care and are very nice. Everything is clean and it is well equipped! Absolutely would recommend!

If I could give Abbott Road Suites 10 stars, I would. We stayed with Anne & Rick for 5 months last year (July -November) while our home was under construction and we couldn’t have gotten luckier to have found this place! Due to availability at the time we booked, we initially stayed in the East Suite and then moved to the South Suite. The South Suite is a bit larger, but the East Suite is tucked away for extra privacy if that’s what you’re looking for. Both have very comfy king beds, large walk-in showers and are immaculately clean. Both rooms also had a Keurig, bar fridge, microwave, air fryer, plates, cutlery, glasses and everything else a kitchen comes with. This was a godsend to us over the many months we were there. We had plenty of closet space to hang our things and lots of cupboards for everything else. Laundry facilities were made available to us as often as we needed them, we just checked in with Anne first. We were two adults and a large dog. Not only did Anne & Rick make sure we had everything we needed, but they also often checked in our pup’s needs and even bought him some treats to help him feel more at home! In addition to being able to walk him on a quiet country road, the property is large and there are several fields nearby where he could run freely. Anne and Rick live on the premises so help is never far away. It’s very difficult to feel at home during a stressful time and when you’re living out of a suitcase for so long, but thanks to their generosity, we were always made to feel comfortable here! Last thing - if you’re lucky enough to stay in the summer months, make sure to take part in the weekend bonfires - everyone is always invited, so join in and share a laugh!
