★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beyond burger was fresh and tasty when I tried it months ago. This experience was different, and extremely disappointing, hence the change in rating.
Yesterday I made the mistake of buying the last burger they had, near closing time. Not sure how long it had been sitting near the grill, but it was dry, and not hot. They turned away 3-4 others after me, because they weren't cooking any more burgers before closing. It wasn't good at all. Neither were the onion rings with extra seasoning salt. The first two onion rings were seasoned, and the rest, plain. As they were closed by the time I arrived home, there was nothing I could do but eat a far from delicious meal. Definitely not worth the $7.77 cost! It will be a long time, if ever, before I return, and never on a Sunday with the early Covid closing time of 5 pm. Definitely not the typical A &W standard. It's understandable to want to go home at the end of the day, but when closing time is 2 hours earlier than other days, quality should be consistent throughout. Also, their staff should be wearing masks in the kitchen, not just the front counter .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I haven't been here recently. But I have been eating A&W stuff for years. The chain offered delightful cod burgers temporarily this summer. I loved them. Now they don't, so I haven't been in a while. Beautifully designed buildings, fresh, clean, delicious food. I'm overweight, though, so don't trust me.

At one time a&w used to serve great food but now with so many new Canadians having franchises they serve nothing but garbage
