★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prior to heading out on an Alberta mountain vacation, I went to A-One clothing, and purchased a Columbia jacket, a Tilley hat, Merrell hiking boots and breathable socks. The service was excellent and the staff were pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. Once in Alberta, I loved all the items I purchased. They were fantastic! Thank you so much to the A-One staff for making my trip so enjoyable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought expensive pair of winter boots and was told that the cuff of boot was ‘shearling’ when I got home the label stated ‘faux fur.’ I called to speak to someone but was treated very rudely by 2 different men. I was directed to bring them back if I hadn’t worn them yet. End of story so to speak. Thankfully I hadn’t worn them or I would have been out of luck. I don’t feel the ‘claim ‘ of the fabric was an error. I believe the man knew damn well it was shearling. $300 later I find out the same boots sell on Amazon for $100 less. Not a good experience and will never return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not sure where these people who said they had great customer service were shopping. Every time we go in, it's been an eerie experience. The store will be empty of other customers, the staff don't greet you at all, and they have about 3 people watching you at all time.
I totally recommend going further up Princess Street and hitting up Trailhead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve purchased three Canada Goose articles here and it’s been a great experience. Sure there are some odd personalities here, but the store policy regarding refunds and exchanges is very explicit and the majority of the brands they carry have prices set by the brand.
As someone who worked a brief retail stint in Kingston, their policies and conduct is hardly surprising considering the abuse by an entitled student population, and theft; a small independent business doesn’t have the infrastructure to address this or to invest in anti theft devices.
And no, the customer is not always right; this antiquated and misguided belief needs to die.
Thank you A-One for being a community staple for quality apparel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent customer service provided by staff working at A One Clothing after I needed a new pair of Merrell Hiking Boots for Winter. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who even did not mind if I took a few photos for Google Map's after I made my purchase. Wide variety and selection of everything that you are looking for with a large selection of Winter Coats right when you walk in the store location and you have to navigate your way through them to get to the Footwear selection. Also, a great way to support downtown businesses in the City of Kingston by purchasing from A One Clothing. Looking forward to returning again sometime in the near future. ? ?? ? ? ? ? ?️
