I really only go looking for beer when I am in town from Denver, but if you are into wine and liquor it looks like they have a fantastic selection too. But seriously I just go right to the growler bar or fridge so you probably should go in and check for yourselves if you like liquor or wine (you will like it, I promise!)... Not only do they have great selection, but prices are good and the service is amazing. We are in quarantine and they worked with me to make sure our delivery order was perfect, only a few minutes prior to the order leaving. Top notch in every way and is now the go to liquor store in Calgary.

Was trying to figure out what & where it would be that I was looking for in the first place ? Just then a Sweet Lady approach me and asked…. Can I help you? Yup Yup Yup Where’s the Rum Hiding? She asked what brand I was looking for? Bacardi White! “Oh my” she replied, we don’t carry that brand. Hmmmmm…. ? She pointed out a brand I’ve not seen… from Cuba… “it’s a nice Smooth Rum” she explains. “I’ll give it a go and see, some coke too please” and off I went. I thought I would try it on Ice First too see just how Smooooth it is… Damm!! Well I will only make a rum & coke with Bacardi (sorry ?) This Rum Was So Smoooooth just like the pretty lady (forget her name) that suggested it! 5 Vines Wine is an Amazing Place, the displays are creative and once you get a tour by the informative staff (maybe she owns the place ?) you’ll be still smiling all the way home with maybe a New Favourite Flavour!! “LEGENDARIO” On Ice Baby Ice! ? ?

The vast majority of their wine is stored improperly, standing up with hot LED lights shining on it. That's a great way to make vinegar, but if the management here knows that, they certainly don't show any evidence that they care. Worse than that, the employees seem to have little to no idea about selling wine. Every time I've walked into their store, there's either nobody around or I'm greeted with an obnoxious "What brings you in today?" Which is then made even more obnoxious by the staff (Kyle and Kevin in particular) not knowing anything about the wines I've asked about. You run a liquor store, my guy. I'm here for booze, not to talk to you about my day. Lose the Wal-Mart greetings and the pretense, store your wine properly, and train your employees to do more than stand around and look at their phones. I'll buy wine from a place that respects their products and clientele, not this hack-run standardless operation.
