There was an individual who came into the store and asked for a diet coke. He went out and drank half of it before coming back in and asking for a refund. He claimed it was not a diet coke. Yet, I was surprised that the owner gave him the refund.

Was worried that there wouldn’t be time to order and eat in store but the owner cheerfully allowed me to stay. Had the lemongrass chicken Vietnamese sub, which was delivered to me at my window seat. Price wise it is a bit more than the ones I’m used to on Main Street but the difference is minimal. A dollar here and there. Taste wise, I have to say, the sub was absolutely delicious. The bread was crisp on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside. The meat was flavourful and it’s packed full of veggies. I was the last customer for the night but it didn’t feel like I was intruding. I plan on returning to try the other dishes. Overall, I had a great experience, both in terms of the service and in terms of taste of the food.

Cold cut bahn mi (C5) was full of great veggies and meat, plus had the pate! Salad rolls are huge you only need one. Made a fatal error and ordered 3. Now we have snacks for later! Tiny shop with friendly service!

I had to squeeze so much hoisin sauce it went brown and then that’s all I could taste, along with the Sriracha I dosed it with. The beef, though plenty of it, was chewy, veined with gristle and tasteless. I removed most of it from my mouth before swallowing. I don’t think the noodles were done in vinegar as they too were tasteless. I ate maybe half of it before I gave up. This is not a comfortable place to eat in either, It’s basically a take out with some plastic chairs and one table. There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in the city with lower ratings but much better food. Crazy.

The place is tight, only 3 seats due to COVID, so definitely not for large groups. The lady working is very friendly, and the taste was ok, food was on the saltier side. Portions are fair sized, and price was higher than other places. Came home and didn't feel too well afterwards, hence the OK rating.
