4.5. This place is affordable and friendly. I’ve been to other places where it was very expensive. They are quite lean and give templates so you’re signing up for certain creations which may or may not cap your creativity. There is a time limit of typically 1.25 hours after the demo. The demo is thorough. Staff are extremely friendly. You go downstairs to wash your hands in the basin but the water is ice cold. Literally. And try getting clay off your hands in 10 seconds. But I found the trick! Wet the paper towels and use that to wipe and wash off clay/paint. We’ll be back for sure!

Everyone was nice and we had a great experience! This is a extremely fun date spot :) One thing to better would be enlarging the workspace.

4Cats is easily one of the cutest and family-friendly art studio in Vancouver, providing affordable workshops with different activities. I did the lama clay workshop, and I came as a group of 4, which had a promotion for $55 for 4 people! I found the workshop to be so fun and creative and definitely a great activity for a double date or with a group of friends and family. The studio is kept very clean and they also clean and organize their tools very neatly. The workshop itself was very informative, our instructor continuously taught the class new terms and techniques to use for the workshop. They gave us around 2 hours to work on our project and our instructor was supportive the whole time.

Incredibly unprofessional staff, gives little to no instruction on how to create projects, even though though you are paying for the service. The place is disorganized, the staff do not pay you the time a day, only one sink despite this being an art studio. sink is also very inaccessible as it in downstairs in the back and there are normally many children running around. After spending two sessions to complete a clay project, it completely broke apart whilst finishing the last step, rendering our hard work and time worthless. Would recommend just buying clay from Michaels and doing it at home. Not worth the time or money.

Came here for the first time a few months ago and chose a polymer clay tea light project to do with a couple of friends. The staff were very nice and helpful but the work station was cramped and unkempt. There was limited table space so it was hard to do what was required for the project without bumping into the others and the hand washing station is on another floor. The bigger problem, however, was the estimated time recommended (2.5-3 hours) for the project when I booked the session. I booked 2.5 hours and shortly into the project we realized that we needed much more time. Mind you we were three fairly crafty adults. We were less than 50% complete by the end of the session which meant that the project required at least 5 hours to complete, even if we went at a quick pace without focusing too much on the details. The failure for the studio to provide an accurate estimation of the project time was super disappointing as we all left empty handed as we weren’t allowed to finish the project at home and did not want to come back for another 2.5 hours to finish the project in a rushed, cramped workstation. Overall the experience was frustrating. I would not recommend coming here for polymer clay projects. Instead, spend some extra money so you can do the projects at home in a comfortable environment and a leisurely pace.

Went in to hand build a mug with my 9-year-old. They give you all of the supplies and an ipad to follow along at your own place. There are staff there to support you if needed. We both loved it!

Fun laid back atmosphere with a lot of DIY vibes, the staff is friendly and doing their best given the effects of the pandemic (spacing/check-ins/etc). I’d come back to do more Clay Wheel and Glazing, it’s really fun.
