★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went shopping there today, very nice meals and big selection of fruits, so i checked out with Liam M. very nice guy sweet and asked me if i wanted a bag and wished me a good day. Then i realised i forgot to buy a bottle of water. So i went back in the store and checked out with Angela S... well not the same quality.. cold as ice.. very rude.. makes you feel like you have no business being there.. honestly, i would have been happier to go in a self check out.. i dont understand people working in public when clearly they hate it.. and makes you feel it.. made the whole experience wacky and i probably wont go again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible experience at the 49th Parallel store in Ladysmith. The customer service and front end staff lack customer service. Cashier in till 5 with light on was cleaning baskets ignoring customers and when we went to her register to get checked out she said we had to go back to aisle 1, stand in line and wait until she called. We had a compromised senior using a wheelchair, carrying a catheter bag and I was wheeling his oxygen tank and we were told to go out side from the coffee shop, around the front of the store to go into the store. One person from the coffee shop came left her post and chased us down in the store, the customer service cashier rudely told us it was an emergency exit only (though not labeled as such) and a 3rd employee reiterated the need to go around in the rain. It was clear to everyone that mobility was an issue but clearly no one helped make it easier to shop at this store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the original store and is just ft . south of the 49th. The current store is new and has a great selection. We only have a truck and my husband has a disability placard, so hard to find a larger space let alone a wheelchair ♿ space. Nice mural in the parking lot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped to get some snacks for a picnic. Everything you need, better than going to the gas station or 7 11. Single portion snacks, drinks that are cold and single desserts for people. Fruits are fresh and local ?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a very nice store. Friendly staff. They have lots of variety when it comes to food. Most is very pricey. As a professional chef I do know my food prices. I like supporting buy local, but when 2 chicken breast coast the same as 12 in another big store, there is something wrong. I do not mind paying a bit more in a small town store, but there are limits to what I call normal.
