Yes, lots bed bugs and cockroaches... Be careful renting from people here, some people will rent a room knowing full well their place is infested.

Major parking issues: I moved in for the middle of August but my roommate wasn't able to become the lease holder until September 1st which meant that I couldn't get a parking pass until then which seems a little ridiculous since I was willing to pay for it. This meant that I had to pay for the visitors parking for nearly three weeks - totalling nearly $300. To continue the parking saga, Minto provided me a parking sticker with a parking stall number that did not exist. I was told by three Minto rental office workers and the super that they didn't know where that spot was. Still unsure why I was assigned a spot that does not exist but was given no apology. For two weeks I was parking next to dumpsters and getting threatening notes that I would be towed by other tenants even though this is where the rental office told me to park. I had to keep going back to the office to get a one-day temporary parking pass because the issue could not be resolved. Two weeks into September I was told that management was finally having a meeting about the parking situation, though I complained immediately (September 1st). I was then told I would get an outdoor space at the next building over, which I agreed to and had to apply for. When I received my new sticker and fob it was for an indoor spot at a totally different building that I had not wanted. The parking garage I was given a fob for gave me no access to get back down into the parking garage on foot other than walking really far and going down the ramp you use to drive into the lot. After inquiry I was left with no response until I moved out at the end of October. Flooding and repairs: As well, during my short time here there were two floods due to pipes in the ceiling. The first happened when I moved in (mid August) and the baseboards and ceiling were still not patched when the next flood happened in mid September. The flooding caused minor damage to our belongings but major inconvenience. Bed bugs: When I moved in I found inactive bed bugs and eggs in the curtains left by the previous roommate, and in mid October my roommates found bedbugs in their rooms and had the place fumigated.

Hi, I have been staying in Minto apartments(1800 baseline road) since last 3 years and in the current apartment since last 1.5 years. Being a longtime resident here, I am extending frustrated with the current harassment I have been facing by the service departments here. For the past 8 months there has been continuous ‘specialized treatment’ for cockroach spray.This meant packing up the entire apartment every time and we have been very cooperative for the past few months but this has become a regular affair and a nuisance now.Me and my flatmates are working full time and it has become impossible to pack and unpack every 2 weeks for such treatments which have proved to be ineffective so far. Additionally, the notices are very short and on weekdays which requires us to stay out of the house for 6,7 hours. We are are all working from home on a full time job.We are in no situation to stay away for such a long time. Furthermore, I have spinal injury which requires medical attention. Continuous packing and unpacking heavy furnitures just add to the medical issue that I am currently going through. I have written multiple mails to the service departments but all of them have been neglected with no response specially the service coordinator Chelsea. I have called multiple times, left voicemails as well. All of my flatmates are new to the apartment and they are completely annoyed by the frequent harassment being faced here at Minto. They are charging a huge amount without sending notice now from past 2 weeks if we dont go through the whole roaches treatment. Thank you. Snowy Sethi
