We are two Calgary accountants passionate about helping owner managed businesses with their financial reporting, tax planning, and compliance.
The name:
Canada avoided having a tax on income until the War Tax Act of 1917 was passed. The act was originally introduced as a temporary measure to help pay for the escalating cost of World War I.
Our firm is named after this historic year which changed Canadian taxation - 1917 CPA.
The concept:
Like the accountants of 1917, we endeavour to be knowledgeable, honourable, and fair. Think of 1917 CPA as accountants with the values of 1917, but the technology of today.
