β β β β β They get in touch once, don't update you and I haven't heard back since October 2019. I call and email and I'm told you'll be in touch but that's false as usual. Quite disappointing.

β β β β β I've learned that not all bankruptcy trustee's are the same. Some are not even ethical. After trying to make things right for years, losing my health and sanity over the consequences of someone else's actions, I finally found relief when I called BDO. They are government regulated, fair, knowledgeable and so very compassionate with a desire to help. If you are overtaken by financial burden call them and find out more about your options. I was so pleasantly surprised and relived to have found them.

β β β β β Brigitte at BDO helped us with our US taxes as we own property there. She was very informative on how to deal with it. I handed over all the information they needed and she took it from there. They tied it into our Canadian taxes as well. Very painless. Definitely recommend for anyone who has US income!

β β β β β From the first phone call, Meghan just understood me.
We started this journey at the START of the Pandemic; me with NO scanner and a computer that has seen better days, but Meghan made it work. The QUESTIONS!!! And there were MANY of them, she got back to me, talked me down, and NOTHING phased her!
So, I had the time, month after month, to look at my statements, track my habits and adjust from there. And you have that time. Read up on budgeting, down load the template. You will be left in a FAR BETTER place than when you started.
This is my first month on my own; and I KNOW I am STRONGER going through insolvency and having Meghan there with me along the way.

β β β β β I am so happy to recommend BDO company to anyone who is having trouble financially and is not sure where to turn. I have to give this company a five star rating for many reasons. The first and main reason was my more than helpful and supportive Estate Administrator Megan McPherson who has helped me step by step through the process and has always been there to answer my many questions and guide me in the right direction.
I have dealt with a few different people in this organization when I asked various questions and submitted my reports, income statements and tax information and each and every individual I dealt with I have the utmost respect for their consistency, prompt response time and detail orientation. I just wanted to thank this company for all their help and for a fresh start.
I would highly recommend if you are in a position where you need help and options contact Megan and the group at BDO. You will be so happy you did !
