From a captain and leader on and off the field Mitch was an every sports star growing up! Now a retired CFL, CIS, MFL & Team Canada Football wide receiver & punt returner with a BSc in Kinesiology, Mitchell brings knowledge from trainers and coaches from across the country. He has been in the fitness industry for over 18 years and is certified through CanFit PRO as a specialized personal trainer, Crossfit Level 1, Precision Nutrition, TRX Coach, Olympic Lifting, Pregnancy & Postpartum Recovery, Life Coaching & many more.

Over the years Mitch has trained in the Maritimes, had a quick stop in Toronto and now has called Calgary home for the last 10 years. He brings an athlete mentality to the gym and coaching styles from his mentors. Every session is different and constantly varied from the reps, weights, tempo & recovery. We will tap into weightlifting, gymnastics, strength, hypertrophy and the biggest muscle of all your mindset. “I program for my elite athletes and scale as needed to accommodate any fitness level from beginner to pro athlete.” “Constantly varied programming has been the best way I have found to keep the athletes engaged and breed new results. Every session being different sets me apart from linier programming coaches who write 1 program for each goal.”

I've been really enjoying working out with Mitch. He is an awesome personal trainer and a great motivator. He surely plans each session to be fun yet challenging. Along with my diet and training I've seen great results. Excited what the new year will bring!

Mitch is a well-rounded, articulate coach and trainer who provides a welcoming atmosphere that is so enjoyed. The gym and a personal trainer can be daunting, but with Mitch and 12 Fitness he has created an environment that is open, friendly, and allows you to work hard, push your limits, and meet goals while still having fun, and feeling comfortable. His knowledge is never ending and his educational tactics of training are easy to understand and execute. He is patient, open, and truly eager to see his clients succeed. I couldn’t recommend a personal trainer more so than Mitch. You will be doing yourself a service getting in the gym with him!

I have been training with Mitch for over a year now, and cannot be more satisfied. Every workout is challenging and different and I'm seeing changes in my body that 13 years of working out on my own never gave me. He can make any of his workouts customized to any fitness level, and has a great eye for how to adjust them. He also mixes in the occasional competition amongst his clients which gives us all even more motivation and drive to work harder. I HIGHLY recommend him as a trainer.

Thank God for choosing the best coach/trainer Mitch! I have worked with him for over 8 years - He has the biggest heart and understands as I am deaf. Mitch pushed me to the hardest training ever which I loved. He gave me so many unique drills because they blended both my mental and physical aspects of becoming better. Not just a player but in your approach to anything you might face. "Hard working beats talents when talent doest work hard" I stood and played against pro level in Hockey and tennis. And got wonderful chance to play for country Canada comes true – well done! Thank You for making me a better athlete! Ryan C.

I've been training with Mitch at 12 Fitness for almost 6 years. He's extremely knowledgeable and has trained me to a level of fitness I never thought possible. As someone with no athletic background the gym was intimidating and Mitch has made it one of my favourite places to be. Whatever your goals are Mitch can help you achieve them!

I was referred to Mitch by my physiotherapist after knee surgery. I had gone as far as I could go with acupuncture and stim therapy. After only 3 one on one sessions my mobility is so much better than before but more importantly Mitch has been able to push me to trust myself. He has an amazing way of motivating me to be the strongest version of myself, I find myself leaving the gym with a feeling of incredible accomplishment and pride. I highly recommend him as a trainer to anyone with a sports injury or anyone who needs a gentle hand to help you to believe in yourself.

I have been training with Mitch for 2 months and strongly recommend him. I have definitely noticed big improvements in how I look and feel over that time He is very knowledgeable and passionate about fitness and personalizes his workouts to help push his clients to achieve their goals. He is also genuinely fun to workout with, and mixes up different kind of exercises to keep it interesting and challenging

Mitch is an amazing trainer. He has helped me make major improvements in my own training so far in a short amount of time. He is very knowledgeable and will always challenge you to help you reach your goals. Every workout is different and he is always motivated to bring the best out of you. I highly recommend him.
