I couldn’t blink my eye and I couldn’t eat or drink on the left side of my mouth. I was miserable. A friend recommended acupuncture. I had never tried it before, but was open to anything to help with recovery. I discovered Zen Acupuncture in the neighbourhood and Sandy booked me in right away. After completing the initial patient screening, she provided at-home remedies to help combat the inflammation. She also provided an acupuncture session to treat various points on my body to encourage movement in my face. Within hours after the first session, I felt sensation in my face. We have been working together for two months now and I have seen major improvements both in my face, as well as with stress management. Thanks to Sandy, I am on the road to recovery and am feeling like myself again. In fact, many cannot tell that I have Bell’s Palsy. Sandy is kind, caring, and gentle. I am currently working with a naturopath and she recommended acupuncture as a tool to assist in my healing.
