β β β β β i have lived here before with MINIMAL issues nut now it seems they dont follow protocol and no one listens to you when you file for residency. they seem to not understand confidentiality at all either. i am fleeing abuse and homelessness AND addictions and i have hardly been a year steugglingnto maintain housing before all this. i had the same apartment going on 4 years. and the institute created to help women in my very situation says what is better suited for me is a private residency without ANY support while they house those convicted of domestic abuse. this all has to do with CAP. disgusting paperwork filing led to me being homeless likely throughout the entire winter. and my child goes without our almost DAILY park trips and highly active lifestyle and her father struggles to be a single dad. i cant stand the injustice. id post proof but i will seek legal advice first.

β β β β β I've had my share of struggles living in the transitional housing part of the YWCA but all in all, my experience here was pretty great. Majority of the Women's Advocates were very enjoyable and always there to help, and throughout my almost year and a half there, I really grew as a person and eventually was able to kick my drug addictions thru the close relationships I maintained with staff and my friends who lived and still do live at the YWCA. I'm very appreciative of everything they have done for me. Thanks guys!

β β β β β The YWCA Hamilton offers a lot of great services for the individual as well as families. However so far during the year 2021 I find that I'm no longer comfortable even walking pass the premises and neither are my friends. During early morning hours and dinner time onwards there's a lot of homeless people hanging out on the property with they're friends going through garbage and doing drugs such as heroin and crystal meth, crack and cocaine and of course drinking and smoking pot.
It's a shame to see this and to feel as unsafe as I do on my own neighborhood. Wish the city and citizen's who have some extra money could build a safe zone for then to have a tent city setup that could have high bushes too so it's not an eye soar on the city and so people passing by don't feel unsafe.

β β β β β Very caring Organization. Received information I went there for. Always treated with respect. I also helped there by cleaning and stocking the Pop Up stand outside there where women in need are able to pick up sanitary supplies.

β β β β β The staff are very judgemental and only go on there terms .they treat woman like animals and give them tuff love struggles or not the staff. Decisions on who is catered to I volunteer here in trying to stop the hate on woman it's almost impossible some staff are not even splice workers they are very arrogant needs help asap
