β β β β β I was a little nervous about using this newly re-vamped long term parking lot for the first time, but it turned out to be a rather pleasant experience and very user friendly.
Tips:
- Book online in advance for peace of mind of the lot not being too full upon your arrival, and for cheaper rates.
- Google Maps will lead you exactly to this lot, no issues
- If you have a reservation, when you arrive at the lot entrance your licence plate will be scanned and a Green Token will be dispensed & the gate will open automatically. If for some reason it has trouble reading your plate, simply scan the barcode from your reservation email, or push the Help button.
- After parking, make your way inside the easily visible Templeton Skytrain Station entrance.
- Directly inside to your right there are two skytrain ticket machines. Select the option for a free βSea Island Onlyβ ticket. Go up the escalators, and then down the escalators following the easily marked βto YVRβ signs. You need to βtapβ your free ticket in order to open the gates to access the skytrain platform. Again the signage is straightforward and easily directs you on how to go to get to YVR bound skytrain platform.
- I only had to wait 5 mins for the next train. The airport is the last stop; 2 stops from Templeton Station, and only a 5 min ride total .

β β β β β This is a horrible option in our experience. The trains are not conveniently useful for reaching the airport especially if you are travelling as a family. We had some luggage bags and two small boys with us and we felt it very risky and unsafe with the train. They are not providing carts for moving the luggage bags from the parking lot to the Train station.. The train doors closes unexpectedly and unsecured. We did not have enough time to move all our luggage bags inside.
We took the free tickets and reached the airport. But we could not enter the Airport with with the same ticket. We had to pay extra money. We paid again for tickets to enter the airport. It was fully a horrible experience and luckily escaped from casualties. I already communicated my concerns with the authority and didn't receive any response.
I never recommend this option especially if you are travelling with your family. Either hire a taxi or use the shuttle services provided by the nearby hotels.

β β β β β I usually park at Jetset but its currently closed. This is a great option if you don't have alot of luggage or if they provided luggage carts. Skytrain is convenient.

β β β β β Good parking lot, no covered spaces for your vehicle. Pay attention to the times as the skytrain is only open for certain hours. In the off hours, a shuttle comes every 30 mins. Skytrain is free between the lot and the airport.

β β β β β Why are they awesome? I put in my car on February 16th. The management staff called Calgary where I was. The window opened and asked if it was okay to tap with plastic. I couldn't believe it, but I asked her to do so. I told my son-in-law. I wanted him to worry with me, but he was only surprised at the fact that the parking lot contacted me in detail. I was also surprised too. Their careful consideration made my 6-night 7-day trip enjoyable. Thank you so much.
