I'm assuming it was the owner, he was EXTREMELY rude, condescending, impolite, insulting and very unprofessional. I've sent an item for repair or replacement which was under warranty from Sunbeam. He will not return my item that he says he chooses not work on, so he gets to keep it and do what he wants with it. Nice to know companies like this can rip you off and keep something I paid for. Please don't take a chance with this place and find a professional store that actually care about customer service and know how to speak to their customers without cutting them off mid sentence everytime you try to explain something. Super unimpressed!! Luckily I called Sunbeam and they are sending me a replacement free of charge (that alone tells you what they think about how this man treated me and even told me they do not even refer this company to anyone sending out heating pads, that's why they couldn't call him directly to tell him to return my item!)

I didn't even have time to explain the problem with my appliance under Hamilton Beach warranty, he tells me basically I'm a dumbass - like he is 100% sure there is absolutely no way the machine didn't operate the way it was supposed to. Well I guess it's my fault for trying to load a juicer with two halves of an orange! He also freaked out about some stains on a part that he wouldn't even have to keep - ran for gloves like he was going to do a prostate exam on a diseased horse. No courtesy or even basic manners in any of the interactions.

We also ended up buying a kitchen mixer at a great discount, the store had many selection and amazing deals. Very much recommended.

Have been going for years to this old school shop where the owners know pretty much everything there is to know about parts and repair, even on obscure and/or old appliances. A friend brought his vacuum in for repair... the guy took a look at it, fixed it on the spot and didn't charge. I have some old appliances that still work great but have needed parts... they had them... If they don't, keep checking in, they're bound to get your part at some point. For those complainers out there... they can be a bit brusk, but I respect them and will joke or banter with them if they get a bit intense. I regularly encounter employees at other stores who automatically say they don't have it but I eventually find it. You will not find more knowledgable people at York Appliance, or access to more discontinued and/or old parts, plus they're also very honest and can fix anything that can be fixed. Don't write these guys off. I will really miss them if they ever close.

Then when I took it in after a year of use because the vacuum appeared to stop working, the worker figured out that two small parts inside the brush head had been broken after I attempted to fix it myself. He replaced both parts, tested it and then sent me off with a working vacuum free of a charge!! Great service.

Made good suggestion re how to prevent problem recurring. York was recommended to me by an employee at a hardware store at Yonge and St. Clair (also excellent).
