Called ahead to order as I was on the road and decided to grab take out. Order taker fella bluntly said he was were busy and I should go online to place the order but eventually grudgingly took the order. Showed up to pickup the order. Handed the order with not a word of greeting. I observed that the restaurant was minimally busy as it was around 4pm. Asked if the sweet soy soy I requested was included and immediately given an attitude that this sweet soy sauce is not included with this dish though I've requested this on previous orders and gotten it. Offered to pay for the sauce, he took the payment for it and this dude still went on ranting about how it is not included and ADDED again that next time it would be better for me to order online. 1. I regret that I'm a nuisance to your business for "calling in" my order 2. As customer who typically always order from your website directly to save you the 30% commission on on Door Dash, I feel very rewarded for being charged extra $ for some extra soy sauce on a almost 50.00 order. 3. Seems like your restaurant has become popular and lucrative enough to treat people poorly and reject business that just doesn't fit your into your flow at any given time. 4. If the order taker can barely speak English or has problems understanding English. Then the English speaking customer is therefore complicated and should just go online to order to avoid stressing out the order taker. 5. Good food + nice new restaurant + poor service attitudes = failed overall experience.

I’m a fan of yip hongs for years. But I went the other day we ordered 10 dim sum dishes and they are absolutely microwaved. The buns are super hot inside but only warm outside. All the dishes that came to our table HAS NO STEAM at all and just warm. The dumplings we ordered are cold, the rice roll is cold and sticky, obviously it’s not fresh made and microwaved. Definitely not coming again. Disappointed!

The food is always great at Yip Hong's. We've been going here for 14 years. This time we were there just for a snack with an out of town friend. The dumplings were very good as always, the sesame balls hot, light and crispy on the outside, soft and slightly sweet inside. I tried the Hong Kong style coffee and tea. I had never had it before, and it was a surprisingly good mix of strong coffee and strong black tea, with just a little milk. A nice, simple, but unusual mid-afternoon drink. We will definitely be back.

Always good food everytime i go. The addition of a robot waiter adds a fun element to the dim sum experience. A definite must if you like dim sum, next time you're in Saskatoon.

A great supper out with friends! Highlights were the chicken feet, the fish roe and scallops, the curry squid, baked pineapple buns, so many good dishes! All hot and fresh and fast!

There aren't many dim sum restaurants in Saskatoon, so as far as the local selection goes, this place is pretty good with some flaws. Overall, the food all tasted good and everything is cooked fresh to order. In particular, I enjoyed the various steamed dumplings they had. Nothing was particularly greasy or salty, everything was cooked well. Prices are okay. Ordering is done through your phone, where you scan a QR code at your table and send your order directly to the kitchen. You can also order takeout this way. Each table also has a button to call for service, which is nice. Time for food to come out is variable, sometimes quick, sometimes long.

Went for Dim Sum. Very delicious. First time for us. We weren't sure of the procedure, but figured it out ordering on our phones. The delivery robot was cut and the food was great. Tried a few new to us foods. Also, very affordable. We were very surprised at how inexpensive it was.

This was my first time experiencing dim sum. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a little lacking, but the food was good and the service was quick. The food and drink are ordered through an online service, so use of your phone camera and a QR code is required at the table; I'm not sure if there is an alternative method. Sometimes the food is brought by servers, and other times by a serving robot - very fun! The pricing seems reasonable. For the dim sum menu items, you pay per order (i.e. $X for an order of steamed pork buns) and can order as much as you like. You table's total is kept on a tab until the end of the meal. The rest of the menu operates much the same, but includes larger dishes as opposed to individual/shareable items. Tables seat up to eight in a circle. Everything is set on a spinning centrepiece so you can dish and then rotate the centre to access another item (instead of passing the dishes around). Would definitely recommend the experience for groups.
