★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best soup and sandwich in Burnaby. Highly recommend and Yasser is so friendly. Will definitely be back. Had the cream broccoli soup and turkey sandwich and the wife had the shrimp sandwich.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend this cozy restaurant. I live only one block away but only till recently , I found this place on google map as it hidden behind the trees. Decided to pop in and grab a sandwich. Yasser recommended Easter special- Turkey sandwich. It tastes great ? I look forward to the beef burger on Tuesday :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always love going to Yasser's. A small cafe that serves generous portions of good food. Yasser usually gives us whatever he's got cooking but you can also order off the chalkboard menu. Lots of regulars to be found there, interesting folk. Yasser is a gem of a human being, always helping others. Highly recommend his restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So glad we found this place! Found it on google and couldn’t pass it by with all the great reviews. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for a quick and tasty soup and sandwich. Very reasonable prices, and generous portions. Yaser is very kind and welcoming and clearly has a good reputation with the locals and regulars. He came outside because we looked lost trying to find his place, the sign doesn’t say Yaser’s so look for the address on the sign. He welcomed us in instantly and it felt like we had just stopped by a friends place for lunch.

It's been a solid day and a half and I am still in awe of how great this spot is.
The owner is such a wholesome guy and saying he is "kind" is just not enough!
There are regulars that come here, something you will notice instantly, and everyone has straight love and respect, for good reason.
The prices are more than reasonable.
The food itself could only be described as "homemade".
There is NOTHING bad to say about this gem, and if you think there is, you probably need to seek a shrink for having no sense or taste.
I will definitely be stopping here again anytime I am in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most humble restaurants I have been to in Canada. The owner/chef Yasser is such a down to earth person and welcomes you with such warmth. The whole place has this positive peaceful energy. It felt good just to sit there for an hour and I enjoyed the food was so homely as well. The restaurant has been around for a long time and it has a couple of tables inside for dine in and a few outside too. Tried the chicken sandwich, lentil+veg soup with rice and mocha. All of them very delicious. Definitely going to visit here often. Such an underrated restaurant with beyond reasonable prices.
