★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we first decided to refinish our basement, my wife and I took many weeks to decide on the right company to contract. It was nerve wracking trying to make sure we made the right decision, but talking to the owners Lise and Andrew directly made things much simpler. The contract laid out the exact materials that were to be used, the exact amount, and the exact price.
When the work started we were given 100% of the companys attention. Everyday start to finish the carpenters were down stairs working away. No worrying about if the contractor will show up or not, or if his "guy" is sick that day. The professionalism of Worthington and Prices employees shows. Always courteous and respectful. The workspace was always tidy at the end of the day, doors always closed to save heat and spare the cats. Its those little things that make the difference and which otherwise can quickly turn a contractor into a nuisance.
Lise would often come by and ensure that the work was coming along and ask us if we had any questions. Questions were always answered promptly and we always felt like we had 100% of her attention. Any concerns we ever had were addressed right away and always in our favour.
There was a possibility of going with a contractor for cash who promised to deliver the same thing for half the price. We have zero regrets signing the contract. All the stress of making sure the contractor shows up and does the work he is supposed to do in the time required was gone. I write this review now in a warm basement that is finished and that has added significant value to my home. Cash contractors always over promise and under deliver. Worthington and Price gave me exactly what I wanted, for the price they said they would. And it was worth every dollar.
