I did serveral years of research before settling on this breed and I also knew I would need a trainer framiliar with these types of dogs. Through recommendation and research I found Tony and the Workingk9 team. It was probably the best decision ive made as a dog owner. My presa is true to his breed, as a puppy he was wary of strangers and has never been fond of other dogs. With Tonys help and incredible knowledge of dogs, mastiffs and bull breeds imparticular my boy is an absolute joy, I can take him anywhere without worry and hes even excelling in the advanced group obedience class which is primarily off leash. If you're on the fence at all I assure you it will be the best decision you make for you and your dog. Everyone at Workingk9 is very knowledgeable and super friendly to work with.

Put it this way, I drive an hour each way to work with them and I am sure others drive further. I am of the same mindset, trust them and their process and have worked hard, every day, with my Shepherd for the past 10 months. If you have the mindset that you want to learn and improve every week they are willing to teach you. While I give them top marks, I had to implement what I learned consistently every day which is the hard part. There is no magic. Time and effort wise you need to make it happen. Then as you progress learn more, make adjustments, recover from setbacks and so on. I’m not done yet and will continue to work with them as often as I can. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to learn and put the work in.

As a teacher I was impressed with his ability to teach me what my dog was thinking and how to correct the dog's behaviour. He is a very bright kid excellent trainer. Breaks everything down in an easy to learn manner. Tony is lucky to have him.

I’ve been working with Rue and I must say I’ve learned a lot about my dog and I couldn’t believe on how quickly he is learning the commands. I highly recommend this team they are amazing at what they do. My guy is only 5 months and from my first visit to now. He is night and day can’t want to see how obedient he is in a year.

The knowledge and coaching we received from Rue has been phenomenal. Rue has made life with our German Shepherd Sky just awesome. Rue not only trained our dog but trained us as handlers, as a result our German shepherd is able to go with us everywhere. From parties to patios. Rue is always available for any questions we have, always provided us with solutions that gave us confidence and trust in our ability to handle our German Shepherd. The whole team is professional and helpful and they literally know everything when it comes to dogs, especially Rob who helped us train our 8 month old Doberman. We Had no idea with what we were doing at home but when we started our sessions with Rob he really helped us understand what our dog was thinking and showed us amazing techniques to get the results we wanted. Our dog now listens and is respectful to us and it’s all because of the dedicated work and time put in at Working k9. Even though our sessions are completed we still continue to train using the techniques we’ve learned that will last for many years to come. Thank you to Rob and Tony and to the rest of the team including Val (who was great at quickly replying to my emails) for helping us gain some of the best experiences with our dog, you guys are awesome!
