I had purchased wool and needles but soon discovered that a shoulder injury prevented me from knitting. I could return the wool but not the needles because they “could have been opened and used.” No trust in the word of this long time customer… just a sign waved in my face saying this was the policy! Zero flexibility… sad

Turns out they're from the freedom convoy, and the lady behind the desk at Wool-tyme says that those women are "exempt". We were then yelled at about not sanitizing our hands, when we all had sanitized first thing upon entering the store. I am so disappointed that I ever gave this store my money. We are two years into a pandemic, so anti-mask ideas are dangerous enough. These truckers have harassed homeless shelter workers, threatened people, broken into stores, defaced national monuments, and loudly proclaimed their white nationalist values. I'm so disappointed that I ever supported a store that sympathizes with them. There are other, better female run stores in the Ottawa area, I recommend Wabi-Sabi.

The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and always happy to lend a hand. Need help subbing yarn? The staff will help. Need help finding the right needle? The staff can help. I’ve spent far too much money here and I don’t regret any of it.
G	Giorgio on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I LOOOVE this place and if your a yarn lover you’ll love it to!! This is the biggest yarn selection store i’ve ever been to and i’ve been to quite a few! They have all the big name good quality yarns like sandnes garn, noro, cascade, katia… Be careful when entering because there’s no way you’ll come out with nothing LOL. The only thing I would suggest is maybe to have some music playing…

I came for embroidery floss and was surprised by the button selection, and the tatting supplies! I loved how quiet it was, too. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 ⭐️ rating is because the staff need to work on communication with each other so cash line ups don’t happen, or maybe get a till bell.
