The owner was a woman who told us that if we buy the yarn we would get a pattern for a blanket for free, and I told her I wanted the pattern but I would make a sweater with it. And when we went to pay, she didn’t want to give me the pattern and started being extremely rude and disrespectful and rolling her eyes at us! I’ve never seen anything like this! If she didn’t want to give us the pattern, why say anything in the first place. There are plenty of other yarn places in Ottawa. I’d rather drive one hour to get yarn from a good place than drive two minutes and go to this place. Customer service was too cheap for my liking.

She made the experience rather stressful when it should have been fun. I did buy the yarn I needed, but I won’t return to this store — easier, cheaper and less stressful to just buy online.

Being a small business owner, you think they would welcome people into the business. The worst thing is she over charged us. When we had to go back, we were informed we were very rude. Well charge the correct price and maybe we would not have to go back to that dam store. Will never go into that store again.
J	JTGirl79 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really disappointed after my visit today. The store has some beautiful quality yarn, but the store owner was so rude to my mother that it’s put me off completely. We were the only customers in the store and asked for help finding a specific gauge. The owner was gruff and condescending, and made a really dismissive and insulting comment towards my mum. She directed us towards the most expensive yarn first as usual (which I mean, fair game it’s her business) but she is rather insistent on trying to oversell you on how much you need. Other reviewers have used the word “pushy” and I’m inclined to agree. She’s been this way in my previous visits over the last 2 years but this was extra rude and really hurt our feelings. The store itself does have lovely yarn, lots of Merino mixes and alpaca, hand-dyed options, and so on. It was the go-to in my mind for high quality projects, but I’m going to seek out other yarn stores in Ottawa before I consider going back. I’m pretty bummed out to be honest.

The inside is so organized and clean, you can get lost looking at this yarn for a long time. Service was also great, a lady helped me how to identify yarn weight properly, and other things as well. Really an amazing store with so many options…
