★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wiseman + Cromwell is a modestly sized shop roughly the size of a one bedroom apartment. What they lack in size is more than made up for by the uber clever curating of its two wonderful owners.
The shop is one part vintage clothing and one part vintage furniture and household accessories. The clothes have been carefully selected (no Gap, Zara or H & M). They are clean, steamed and in good repair. Lovely cocktail dresses or summer floral frocks.
The furniture component has a slant towards mid century. Expect retro cocktail shakers, vibrant upholstery, teak bookcases and Scandinavian table ware. Once again, all the pieces have been lovingly restored and polished.
The two owners are eager with suggestions and guidance and create a very convival environment for their clients. Pop in and hopefully you'll exit with a purchase under your arm (unless of course it is a couch).
