★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The dog beach is amazing place to take your water loving dogs. It's exactly like a dog park crossed with a beach. Most times the water is very calm and fairly shallow some ways out. The first little bit can be rocky of the bottom so water shoes are recommended.
Also strollers and wagons with wheels don't work too well in the sand but are fine on the areas between parking and the beach

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enter at your own risk. Overall a great idea, however many owners have no recall over their dogs. Went on a Saturday, upon walking up the trail to the beach my (on leash) dog was mauled and shaken by an off leash dog. The owners were under a tent leaving the dog unattended. They did not come help the situation, they did not apologize. I had another family witness the whole event. After leaving I had made a post about the incident and was reached out to by other owners who shared similar experiences. In hindsight I wish I had taken photos or called animal control. We were there about 5:30 PM.
Went back the following week on a Wednesday and it was better. Overall a lovely beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dogs run free here. The sand beach is clean and shallow and quite suitable for human swimming too. Fetching sticks (AKA driftwood) are readily available. It can be a bit crowded on weekends so walk further down the shore for the open spots.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great time! Bring water shoes though if you have and plan on going in. Also very wavy but it's on Lake Winnipeg so that's a given. Would recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a fantastic spot to come with our fur babies in the summer. This beach is so clean and well kept. It's a great size too so there is lots of space to run and tons of shallow spots so even our small puppers can enjoy a decent swim to cool down. Will definitely be coming back here when the weather is warm again :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The dog beach is great, some of the dog owners are terrible.
If you're going to take your dog to the beach make sure you are watching your dog. Just because it's a off leash dog beach, doesnt mean it's a free for all and your dog should be allowed to roam all over.
