stayed in one of the yurt sites. was clean and sanitized well. I love the water so clean and clear. the only downside is the train that passes by is pretty loud. besides that lots of beach options

Lovely small quiet park. Large sites and great trails. Sadly many empty sites but we had a great escape! Lovely breezy trees. Be prepared for cool nights. Perfect scenic getaway. Lots of roads to let little ones cycle the park safely. Bring the whole family. Of course current conditions means no shower facilities but we managed. Bring your own canoes and kayaks. Lake a little chilly, longest beach in a provincial park. Cabins and yurts available with many non barrier sites very impressive! Will return! Hidden gem!

Very nice campground, we got lucky to last minute booked the walk in sites which was right beside the lake. It’s cold at night. So for these who are visiting in September, please bring enough blanket and clothes. Kids & pet friendly. The ground is in a good condition. The waterfall pics are from a trail called AY Falls. Highly recommended to check it out. 2km only, but a lot of fun! The starry sky was from the campsite that we booked - W7. That spot is amazing!!!!!

Beautiful Park and Lake. Spacious camping sites. The Park needs a face lift. The roads going to camp sites are terrible and in need of grading and fill. Pot wholes everywhere.

Enjoyed our stay in the lakefront cabins for ice fishing. Bed matress was uncomfortable. Outhouses heated and comfortable. No running water. Hot plate and toaster would be a nice addition...only a small fridge, Keurig kettle and microwave. Can use ski chalet washrooms.

The entrance to Windy Lake provincial park was open as the rental cabin is available year around. Was only able to see 2 cabins as other routes were covered with snow and was kind of blocked. It will be a amazing to rent a cabin there as it is so close to the Windy Lake.

We just got home from a nice four day visit to Windy Lake Provincial Park and we enjoyed the place immensely. Our site was huge, very private and there was lots of space between us and our neighbours. The off-leash dog area is one of the best we've seen with a huge beach and grassy area to get Fido chasing a ball or stick. As always, Ontario Parks staff were amazing and very friendly. If you're looking for a quieter park this just may be it.

Overall we had a nice stay. The tent sites are very spacious and 2 picnic tables were on the site, which was nice. The bath house could use an update and I was surprised to see a metal slide on the playground, but the tent spots were great! There is a train that runs fairly regularly and could be heard very clearly. Picture is of site 18.
