Frog Beach, at the intersection of Esplanade and Estevan Ave in Oak , is a pleasant and popular beach. This beautiful beach offer incomparable vistas and it boasts the best sunsets too. Willows Park is within easy walking distance with a kids playground and a public washroom. Frog Beach is one of the smallest beaches in Victoria. It's actually a very easy access from the parking to the beach. There are not many parking spots but the parking is free. You can also park away from the road and walk to the beach. Many enjoy kayaking and paddle boats here when it is calm. Another interesting feature of the beaches in Victoria are the logs that are placed intermittently throughout the beach. This allows sun worshippers a place to sit or lean up against a log, and offers some privacy as well.Kids would love this place This beach has no concession stand or change rooms but the public washrooms are just 2 mins away . Pets are allowed in this Beach and many visitors bring their dogs. But it's much better if you walk through the beach to get the full effect of the ocean smells and views. In short, an easy access less crowded beach for family which is pet friendly.

Great hangout. Spacious enough for a couple of families to hang out in a social distant manner during the COVID-19 pandemic, walk along the shore with a loved one, have kids play in the surf and launch your paddleboard cautiously in front of dozens of spectators with the hopes of not falling in. Is this really called 'Frog Beach' and isn't just an extension of Willows Beach???

The Premier beach in Victoria. Always a beautiful place to walk. Bring the kids. Great beach. Great swimming. Great fun.

Just the right amount of depth of field and light balance, in perspective. The soft breeze and sound of lapping waves will soften your demeanour in 10 minutes, guaranteed.

Perfection. Best place in greater Victoria to enjoy a morning coffee and a walk.

A great place to walk or just sit on the beach and relax and read a book. We bring picnic dinners down here in the summer.

My elderly dad & I was there for the first time just before the Thanksgiving ling weekend. We are from Vancouver and the neighbourhood and the beach were somewhat different in a sense that it felt more pure and clean. Maybe because the weather was so perfect and there weren’t many people and quiet so it made our experience so wonderful and memorable. We will definitely go back there in the future. On the side note, there are some shops a few blocks just up on Estevan St. from the beach and walking down on that street was also very relaxing and nice. We stopped by at the corner bakery, “Ruth and Dean” and their Chai late (with almond milk) was so delish! If I wasn’t so full from lunch, I would have tried their cakes and baking goods but decided to save for the next visit. You might want to check shops around there as well. For those who wants to use transits, we took #2 bus from DT. We wanted to take that double decker bus tour for tourists, departing from The Empress Hotel but they were closed between Tuesday and Thursday so we had no choice but to use the BC transit bus which turned out to be perfect and saved us about $70 for two!! (The red double decker bus tour is $80 each for 1.5hr tour)

A slice of heaven. Great views of the Olympics, Mount Baker and the outlying islands. Good for swimming (bring your wetsuit), cold water bathing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc. NO DOGS from May 1 to Sept 30. About a kilometer of open beach to walk, a well paved walkway for your 1k run - or hit the sand for beach laps. Playground, wildlife, picnic tables, and a small cafe that is open occasionally. And yes there are bathrooms so no need to pee on the beach or neighbourhood fences.
