The midwives here accessed personal data and information unrelated and unnecessary In the provision of care for that of my wife and child. The blatant disregard for not only the feelings of my wife and myself, in the illegal use of such information, to the extent that it was the midwives basis and excuse as for their negligent and criminal behaviour. Further to this, the midwives, having misused and abused their access to such sensitive information data bases, with which one should be trusted to access in good faith and for the purposes of fulfilling their duty to the patient and the profession . Such was not the case here as the information that was accessed was done so abusing this privilege of their position and as well, falsifying further medical documentation and results to achieve no purpose than thy of their own prerogative, quite opposite of that in care of the safe and healthy delivery of our daughter of which, the midwives went out of their way based on rumours and supposed information etc to ensure that the birth of our daughter was nothing but a paycheque to them and a nightmare for us, one that since having been involved with them have endured unmentionable and innumerable difficulties, hardships, mental and physical anguish and absolute torture and uncertainty. Moments of doubt and days and sleepless nights kept awake with thoughts and feelings of fear in the clutch of being in the same moment everyday since this experience. That not only would I be losing this memory to a whole new level of doubt and nightmarish reality; it slowly is destroying little by little my marriage with my wife as we seek to understand and comprehend why someone -why people who are supposed to be trusted could do this to people. In the end because of this eve aggregate failures to do their job they effectively sabotaged the entirety of care that was afforded my wife and child that day and for those months leading to the birth of my daughter. So much so that it sincerely placed the lives of my wife and our daughters; in to a position where in fact she was Harmed. Having manipulated and taken advantage of trusts of other fellow members of the medical community and other health employees.

If you are considering working with midwives during pregnancy but aren't sure can't recommend Willow Community Midwives enough. The level of care and support during the entire process was phenomenal. When Skye was born they were came for home visits and always called us back ASAP when we had questions or concerns. It's all covered under Medicare too.

We were the first home birth under the new team and were under Jael and Stephanie’s care. I cannot say enough good things. We had a great experience and even though, I had some postpartum complications, Jael was super caring and quick to reply to my messages and any concerns that I had. The whole process from pregnancy up to baby’s birth and PP was super comfortable and convenient for us and they were great with my 3 year old also ?. I’ll be forever grateful to them for reopening the midwifery practice here in the South Okanagan thus allowing us to have a home birth ❤️
