It's unlike me to not scope out a business before hiring them and I wished I had before hiring Wild Coast Productions. These Google reviews are far from my experience with Wild Coast. My husband and I recently held our wedding reception at Cammidge House in Tsawwassen and needed to rent tables, chairs, linens and pipe and drape poles for outdoor lighting. Wild Coast was recommended to me by a family friend and, since they had all the equipment we required, I booked them. Our reception was scheduled to start at 6pm so I booked the venue starting at 2pm to allow us plenty of time to set up, decorate and take family photos before all the guests arrived. On the official Wild Coast quote that was provided to us upon booking, our delivery window was between 9am and 2pm, giving us all the time we requested to get set up. The booking process was easy enough and then, about two weeks before our reception, I sent an email to the Wild Coast representative I'd been working with, Samanatha, to confirm everything for our big day. A week went by without any kind of response so I emailed Wild Coast's main email address and asked for a response from someone. I then immediately heard back from Samanatha. I asked her to confirm delivery for our start time of 2pm to which she responded that our delivery window for the day was "between 2pm and 6pm" and not between 9am and 2pm as stated on our quote. I responded that this was not sufficient as our actual event was to start at 6pm, and asked her to reconfirm an earlier delivery time as initially agreed upon. I never heard back from Wild Coast in any regard. On the day of our event, we were all at the venue in the early afternoon, anticipating delivery of our equipment by 2pm. At 2:30 no one from Wild Coast had shown up or called, so I phoned Wild Coast and was then directed to their emergency number as the office is not open on Saturdays. (This seems odd as, in the summertime most weddings are held on Saturdays, so it would make sense to be open and accessible.) I was able to speak with the emergency contact who told me that, according to his schedule, we were expect to receive our equipment between 2pm and 5pm, contrary to our initial quote. I was told he'd contact the driver to see where he was at, but that he expected that the driver was already en route to our venue. A few minutes later, he called back and said that the driver was "just leaving the warehouse in Richmond" (a 20-30 minute drive from Tsawwassen) and that he would arrive "by 4pm but probably a little bit before 4pm." It was far from ideal but still would allow us to set up and take family photos before all our guests arrived. By 4:15 we still had no equipment and heard no word from Wild Coast. I called again and the emergency line went straight to voicemail. I called again five minutes later and spoke with the rep who told me that the driver was "almost there." Half an hour later and by 5pm he arrived, leaving all of us in a mad scramble to set up and decorate before guests started to arrive. The driver was on his own and told me he was sorry to be late but that he was short-staffed. How does a company that specializes in event rental items turn up short-staffed on a Saturday in the summertime? It's go time in the busy season! Needless to say, once everything was set up and decorated, we had absolutely *zero* time to take family photos, and our guests arrived within minutes of everything being set up. This was exactly the scenario we had hoped to avoid by planning ahead and scheduling an early delivery. Wild Coast left us hugely disappointed and I'm certainly sorry I never did more research before booking our event item rentals. Bottom line: with tons of competition in Greater Vancouver, find another rental company for your event.

We used Wild Coast to provide a tent for our wedding this summer, we received a 20x20' marquee. This was the preferred vendor for the restaurant that our wedding was at so we went with their recommendation. The ceremony was at 4pm, and they quoted a delivery time of between 10-3pm with everything set up by then. We were hoping it would be set up by 1 as that was the time of our rehearsal and it was raining, it was not, oh well. We were told by the company that the crew would be there at 2pm to set it up, they did not arrive until closer to 2:30. There was a snafu with filling the water barrels apparently and a delay, to the point that the crew (aka. 1 guy) was still setting up the tent and tying down the barrels 20 minutes before our ceremony is supposed to start. We had our own decorations to hang on the tent and all the while we are rushing to do this while the guests are standing around watching, it was quite tacky and I had less time to groom myself before my wedding because I was dealing with this. The tent was also taken down very shortly after the wedding so we had it for less than 2 hours, a very expensive rental. This ordeal was by far the biggest stressor of the whole day, and for a fairly simple task, I feel like I was let down and did not seem respected as a customer. Upon my inquiries as to what happened (we were given no explanation the day of) I was told by the WC rep Sam that the park would not let them use their water, and she would follow up and get back to me for closure, she made no such attempt. I inquired again weeks later and talked to Saskia, the co-owner. She apologized and admitted it was because they had not brought a long enough hose, as they had never set up a tent there before, but had a "whoops" attitude, with no amends being made. So I was lied to, made false promises to and, most importantly, the company broke their contractual obligation to complete work in the time frame THEY dictated because they did not bring the necessary equipment and they did not budget enough time for the job. It's not even about the compensation, but at no point did the company take any ownership or accountability for anything that transpired on the day, the ramifications of which tailed on to both myself and my bride. The crew member who worked our wedding was diligent and dedicated, but we paid (quite a LOT) for a service and did not get it. The subsequent runaround and complete lack of responsibility leaves an incredible distaste in my mouth and feeling not even remotely valued as a client. I cannot recommend this company with a good conscience, look elsewhere and save yourself some grief.

I am on a budget planning my own wedding. I needed to rent alot of equipment for a decent price which I completely found with WIld Coast Productions. The most important thing for me was, they provided me with the most respectable, honest, and warmest customer experience I have had in my experience in dealing with a lot of other rental companies. I will recommend this place for all party needs. A huge thank you goes out to Samantha for her kindness & professionalism. It's greatly appreciated. The constant and immediate response back was so crucial and important for my important day. Thank you.

Contacted Wild Coast about renting some equipment for an event. They weren't sure if they had the equipment available and offered to contact me once they were able to confirm. Shannon got back in contact with me the same day, and while they were unable to provide the required equipment, she made some suggestions on alternative options. Great service.

I had a great experience with this company for our wedding rental. They showed up on time with everything and Samantha was great at answering any questions via email in a timely manner before the wedding date. One thing to mention, they do take a long time to set up the tent if you get one from them. My wedding was on a Saturday so they set it up Thursday afternoon instead of Friday afternoon so that I would have all day Friday to set up.
