White Rose Coffee House

I was introduced to Josh & his delicious offerings by an acquaintance. Possibly one of the better cups of coffee I've had. I have been back several times with friends and we all agree - outstanding brew, yummy specialties, unique atmosphere - wonderful owners. Check out their organics too.

The owner and chef loves to experiment with new recipes, and although he is always improving his craft, the in-house classic-options are wonderful - seriously the best pizza I've had in my life was from a batch (eggplant, homemade sauce, thincrust) that Josh (owner) didn't take any pride in, so he's respectably humble and honest in that regard. The naive-person who left the 1star review about their experience of perceived "starkiness" is simply jealous they didn't get to talk more with the staff and owner and realize what a priveledge it is to have such a welcoming walk-in shop in their town - seriously I would pay for a membership here even if I couldn't buy the organic coffee and trinkets, I would go there just to appreciate the artwork and artifacts that are mueseum-worthy. The fact that the owner's grandpa used to own the shop and it's in its 3rd generation, that alone speaks of the integrity of the souls in operation, and how the locals keep returning for all the greatness exuded from the store. I hope my good review doesn't attract pestering-newspaper-columnists (unless they only tell their friends/family), because this shop seems too special for normies and NPC-type folk to know about. If anyone is enticed to check out this shop for their firsttime, just enter the doors with a softened heart and open mind, and be prepared with a huge budget because you'll be presented with goodies and homemade crafts that are simply one of a kind.

If you get the owner-manager or his helper on a good day, it's a pleasant enough half minute of conversation with high quality coffee, snacks, miscellanous health-oriented filled shelves. If not--expect a bit of gossip to follow you around or a grouchy, snarky attitude. The music is the best, though--going with a friend circumvents any quickie dramas.

Most peaceful place in Walkerton. Best Chai latte I have ever had. Try the Greek feta wrap..it is packed full of flavour! Josh is very friendly. AAAA+ Edit: I can't wait for Josh to open his doors again. Covid has really impacted small businesses like his and I truly feel this town would miss a gem like The White Rose. This coffee shop is my go to. And free wifi. Great place to sit down and quietly work. ? This place does not discriminate either! Much Love Here

Popped in to get a latte and ended up taking 2 burritos to go. It was a bit of a wait for the burritos but I didn't mind. They were delicious and clearly made to order. There is certainly an eclectic charm to this coffee shop/bodega and in different times, it would be a great place to meet and hang out with friends. I look forward to visiting again!

A wonderful calm atmosphere, I really enjoy the decor and the smoothie is to die for. Great for meeting friends. There's a small shelf of books and boardgames in the back. Its amazing.

White Rose coffee house is amazing!!! I came here with my partner who’s been going here since it has opened and it did not disappoint. Josh (the owner) is extremely kind and knowledgeable! The recipes are unique and flavorful. Definitely stop by if you’re in town, whether it’s for an amazing latte or awesome food!
